I always steam my tempeh before using it, even if the recipes don't say anything about steaming. You could try this next time!

I boil it though because I'm too lazy to clean the steamer! haha

We made the garlic mashed potatoes, chickpea gravy and macadamia blondies last weekend. HOLY shiitake. It was all delicious and my family and I were all freaking out.

Just made the Apple Pie-Crumb Cake Muffins for the first time. Not sure why it took me so long, but I was flicking through and realised I had everything in stock (American apple cider is just like cloudy, pressed apple juice, right?) so thought I'd give it a go. Man they are good. plus they made the whole house smell like Christmas.

Made the Best Pumpkin Muffins with the streusel topping from the Apple Pie Muffins on the facing page. Highly recommended.

Not went wild yet since I have my meals planned for the next week and still need to stock up on the ingredients used in the book but I made my first ever tofu scramble yesterday using wvav. It was yummy.
I made the garlicky kale with tahini dressing as a side to my dinner this evening. It was really nice but overpowered the flavour of my dinner unfortunately and I couldn't taste my dinner.

Has anybody ever had an issue with the dough for the Sparkled Ginger Cookies being, like, insanely wet? It seemed like I hadn't added the dry ingredients at all (I definitely did though). I added half a cup more flour but still couldn't handle the dough (ended up plopping dough on cookie sheet with a scoop; they came out tasty but paper-thin). I'm pretty sure I used to make these fairly often a few years ago but can't remember if adjustments were necessary. (This is one of those days when I miss the old forum and its vast amount of information.) Thanks!

I made the giant peanut butter oatmeal cookies this evening. I should have made them small. I can't finish one cookie. So stuffed. I substituted coconut sugar for the brown sugar and coconut oil for the rapeseed. They are far to delicious that it is insanity.

I suppose it didn't help I had dinner just 30mins beforehand. I ended up giving the last bit of the cookie to the dog because I physically couldn't risk swallowing anymore. I guess I'm going to have to get out of this social phobia phase super quick because I'm going to have to share the cookies. No way could I eat them all.

I never have had a problem with this recipe and I make them every holiday season and they're one of my fast reliables. I'm not sure what could have gotten wrong for yours because mine have always been perfect except for when I overbake them slightly and they're too crunchy. But the batter has always been just right for me as written without making any adjustments.

Yeah, I'm not big on huge cookies so I think I've always made this recipe to bake three dozen cookies. It's one of my favorite cookie recipes though. It's pretty much perfect!

(I am currently eating oatmeal with peanut butter, banana, and almond milk. For breakfast, of course.) ETA: I forgot why I was posting! I made the Punkrock Chickpea Gravy with black beans, because my partner abhors chickpeas. Still absolutely amazing. I also made the Mango Ginger Tofu, which I'd been putting off forever, because I didn't want to spend so much on one part of a meal (three mangos, red peppers, orange juice, etc). It was pretty good, but not great. I probably won't bother with it again unless I find a crazy good deal on mangos.

I've had the tofu dill sandwiches the past two days. Very tasty but next time I might cut back on the mustard or the vinegar. Not sure which one it is but one of them are giving me a bit of heartburn.
