Who's planning to go to Taste of Health on Saturday? I remember Mel and Anndisaster (if those are even your newppk names...) said they'll be there. Anyone else? I'd thought about going to the gala, but 1) I dont feel like spending $35 and 2) I have a project deadline that needs my attention, but I'll be there during the day.

There are tons of freebies, Earthsave are awesome, great speakers, and the cooking demos are fun (provided all of that is still a party of TOH!).

Can't wait for the meet-up. Let's go to Denny's! Wait... no. I haven't been home since I was a meat-eater (3+ years ago)... I'll think of something else. Dairy Queen?

It's hard to believe that we have to wait a whole year for the next INTERNATIONAL CAPS LOCK DAY. Sad day indeed.
In other news, Taste of Health is today! It'd better not suck!

forking fork
psa: the choc/hazelnut wafers are no longer vegan
I got a couple of squares in and they tasted different than normal. turns out now there's a milk derivative/sweetener in there. now I've got 4.6 decks left (I buy 5 at a time - snacks for the week at work etc) and they're taunting me with their 'remember how awesome I used to be?'

i saw a mel b in the kitchen! i hope it's ours and she comes and finds us.
how was taste of health? i'm sad to have missed it so tell me what it was all about. did you get to eat anything yummy?
i have had the lamest day due to cold. :( and i ate wild mushrooms that my roommate assured me were 1000% safe and edible but now i'm paranoid that they were poisonous and i'm going to wake up dead in the middle of the night.

Hi! I am here! I thought I posted in this thread already but maybe it was missed. Taste of Health was just...ok. The first two speakers weren't awesome, but some of the food samples were! Anyone else find anything great?

I found a bunch of material on animal testing and specifically for cancer-related research. it kind of made me really angry when I read it, haha. other than that, there wasn't toooo much there for most vegans. good to support that kinda thing though for sure
