nah. we're going whether it's working or not. :-) (it's funny, cause the last time i tried to use it at casona, it wasn't working either.) i've only ever used it 3 times in the past 1.5 years. i just keep forgetting to use it.

mmmmmmmmmmmm.

we had the ziggy burger and the buffalo bella. both quite tasty, but the burger was a bit too big, and there wasn't really enough tempeh. that burger would be great for an omni that likes a little gristle in their burger. (not a dig, just an observation) i probably wouldn't get it again though. the ranch sammy was so much better. and it's easy to make a burger at home for a fraction of the cost.

and the buffalo bella was really great. i only wish they had smaller cuts of the portobello (the mr. also wished for that), therefore a higher breading ratio. but i'm sure that'd be more labor intensive/cost prohibitive. all of the flavors really went together so well.

as for the fries, i had no idea that the sauce was made with cilantro!! i didn't hate it! (in fact, i couldn't taste the soap at all. i wonder if they use dried cilantro - or if they use fresh, if they cook it a bit beforehand.)

I've been wanting to try the buffalo bella sandwich but I am a staunch celery hater and was deterred by the celery slaw. Is the slaw very heavy on the celery?

i couldn't really taste the celery. all i could taste was deliciousness. (you can always ask for it on the side.)

I am convinced. I'll have to try it next time!

BANANA WHIP WITH COOKIES ON TOP!!!

I was in Philly over the weekend and went here for lunch. Oh! my gosh. I am dreaming of their chicken ranch sandwich. It was about a gazillion times better than any chicken-style sandwich i've ever had, and a doublegazillion times better than any real chicken sandwich i've had. It is served on a soft whole grain bun, which i love. I even liked the pickles on it and i normally do not enjoy pickles on sandwiches. I had it with a chocolate five dollar shake that was well worth the five dollars.
I will be going here every time i make it to Philly.

I go to Philly from time to time (usually to go to the dental school ahahah great feelings about Philly) and I went there earlier this year and got the Hip City Ranch, usually not something I would get. It was really good, although a little pricey. I don't like sweet potatoes either, so won't get those, but I did not realize they had milkshakes! (I get a bit overwhelmed in new locations).

Do you sometimes still meet? I would love to meet, I don't know many vegans IRL at all :P Anyway, I'll be back in the states around mid-July, if anyone is interested, tell me :)
