This place rules. I love that I can just pop in for a slice. My fave lately has been the pepperoni. The meat is sliced nice and thin, and I love that it has a little heat to it. I also greatly enjoy this special pie they make sometimes that involves caramelized onions instead of sauce, sausage, artichokes, and a minimal amount of daiya. The BBQ Portabella Sandwich and Tofu Cubano are also yummy as hell. I can't wait to try the rest of their menu. What are your faves?

We loved the pepperoni too! The yukon was good, but not my fave.

Tofu Cubano is definitely my favorite by far. I agree with you, buttercup that the special pie with caramelized onions, sausage, artichokes, etc is deeeelicious!! I think my favorite pizza is the yukon gold though. I want to try the pepperoni soon, it looks nice and simple. In fact, I think I will get a slice this week!

I've only had the pepperoni slice so far, but the potato one looked amazing. I absolutely love the crust as well. I don't even live in the area anymore but cannot wait when I go back "home" to visit and will hit this place up again!

I'm boring and prefer the plain cheese, but I adore the fact that there are options and you can get single slices. I'd love them more if they made a deep-dish sicilian pizza though. I NEED IT.

agreed, a deep dish tomato pie or cheese would be amazing.

It has to be square and have the sauce on top of the cheese!

No cheese! My tomato pie does not need cheese of any kind. But yes, it must be square.

My Sicilian pizza requires an abundance of cheese. An excess, even. We will just need both.

Am I the only person who loves daiya with a wild abandon? I could eat buckets.

I guess I never have it around long enough for it to go bad. My blocks of Follow Your Heart always went pink and fuzzy though.

Galaxy rice cheese blocks stick around the longest. It all taste the same to me anyway. Daiya just melts the best.

I never eat it cold so the melting is the important part! I do think it tastes better than the rest, though.

Yeah, Daiya has it's place, but now I am in the food for a white pizza with cashew ricotta, spinach, and tons of garlic!
I just threw out some pink fuzzy FYH. :-P

could whole roasted garlic be a topping in the future as well?
also i think a buffalo style pizza/cheesesteak/calzone needs to happen as well, maybe some aged blue nut cheese in there too...
just saying.

I'm just going to check in here Foursquares style every time I'm on my way to Blackbird. And I'll think aloud about what I'll have. I think I'm having........ a sandwich tonight. Maybe fries. Oh, maybe no fries, if my friend will split a piece of pomb with me. Or I'll just eat it myself. I'm hungry. I need to buy a bike lamp now that it's dark so early. I only have reflector straps. I hope I don't get hit by a car. Maybe I'll finally try the Yukon. I hope nobody is listening to me.
