Crisp is that falafel joint with chains all over the city. I was wondering what, if anything, on the menu is vegan as-is? Seamless doesn't include descriptions or ingredients and I want falafel but $15 is the minimum, so I've ordered other things hoping that without sauce or pesto they're okay.

You probably ate lunch by now, but I’ll chime in anyway.

I eat at a Crisp near work all the time; the one just South of Herald/Greely Square.

They have a few vegan options. The non-vegan ingredients to watch out for are cheese mostly and yogurt, and it’s only defacto on a few items. (Well, I never asked if their bread has whey, but their white wheat and whole wheat pita doesn't seem like that kind of quality.)

You can find their specific menus here through the green text links.

Vegan
Casablanca, Authentic, Mexican (the pesto is vegan), Africa, (sandwich and bowls for all) Hummus, Morocco, Baja (bowls for those)

Not Vegan
Europa, Parisian, Athenian (sandwich and bowls) Acropolis (bowl)

The ingredients listings on the webpage seem pretty much accurate to my eat-in experience.

Their fries are good, just sliced fried potatoes in a little bag, but better to order them at the counter and get them hot.

Omg yes to their fries! I actually like them lots over pretty much anywhere nearby. I do often ask them to hold the pesto because I thought it was dairy, but I accidentally got a bowl with some on it once and didn't know until halfway, but didn't really like it much. Thanks for the info!

:) So glad to hear the good experience you have! I cannot wait to try one that isn't near here.

Had the African bowl the last time (when I made this post) and it was pretty good! I've wanted to try something with African flavors even though I know for sure it's not really authentic. Good, though.

I just ordered the Mexican bowl. I always get it, and always end up with something different. It's good, but for what it is, I'd rather forego the falafel and get Chipotle. Always order extra falafel, omnom.
