Do NOT use Ban!! The product is not tested on animals but the ingredients are, which is why they can lie around it.
I bought it but after 2 days it was almost as bad as slathering on wax. NO effects. And according to this site, it is VERY unhealthy...

I bought Ban recently after it was suggested. The scent I got reminds me of rancid Nair...I am going to search out Herban Cowboy next time I am at WF since the boyfriend digs it!

Still going strong with this combo and it hasn't failed me yet.

I got Aromaco from Lush today. I gave it a go this evening and it held up well with a sweaty walk. I still smell good.

Herban Cowboy is the only thing that has ever worked for me and I really like their scents. You can find it at Whole Foods and some natural/health food stores. It's pretty expensive but I think it's worth it.

yeah! herban cowboy is the best, and the "dusk" one smells forking awesome. i used to use the solid mitchum for women but it got all over my clothes, so i switched to the gel and not only did it not work but it made my armpit hair all sticky and gross for the whole day -- even when i used the littlest bit. i've tried a bunch of different natural aluminum-free paraben-free deodorants and herban cowboy is the only one that's worked for me. it's my absolute favorite and you can get it pretty cheap on lucky vitamin.

Does anyone have suggestions for a vegan deodorant that doesn't leave white marks on black clothes? I've tried the clear Mitchum gel and the roll on which are both supposed to not leave marks but they still do. I have to wear all black for school and maybe it's just me but I'm incapable of putting on a shirt without getting deodorant on it. I used to use the crystal and I liked it, it just took forever to dry when I put it on, but if it doesn't leave marks I'll switch back.

mitchum smart solid clinical performance goes on clear. they have another solid that works but is more white. ban roll on isn't bad either, as long as you don't over apply.

But since Revlon started selling to China I think we are all looking to replace our Mitchum. :( Also I am not sure if the person above who said Ban testing is true since they have only one post...I am going to experiment with Ban more.

Is Ban on the Do Test list? I don't see them there. I think when I looked they weren't on either, they just told me in an email that they didn't test. But that was years ago.

Oh damn...Ban was not making me itch and was working at the gym. The smell was not for me - that is why I was going to try others. I guess I will try to find Herban Cowboy...

There's a Tom's of Maine antiperspirant now, right? Depending on how you feel about parent companies and Colgate.

Wait, does anyone know for sure about Ban? There is that one post by that one-post person up there, but I don't see them on any list (do or don't) of any kind, and I don't think I ever have. I'm still going by what they told me. Maybe I'll email again.

So I've been having great luck with the liquid crystal, the brand with the purple lid that they sell at pretty much every drug store. I think if I ran a marathon or something I'd get stinky, but for day to day life it works fine, and it hasn't left a single white mark. I'm happy.

The Tom's worked great for me, but deodorant is such a weirdly individual thing that way.

Yeah, I won't use Colgate products.

I hope the thing about Ban isn't true, it's the best deoderant.

The crystal worked for me for years, and then it suddenly didn't anymore. After almost a year trying other ineffective products, I finally found Real Purity Roll-On Deodorant about three months ago. So far, it has not left any marks on my clothes, and the only activity which has defeated it was a three-hour djembe marathon kind of thing in June. I don't think much could stand up to three hours of energetic hand drumming, though.

Is there a vegan clinical strength antiperspirant? I have the unscented clinical strength antiperspirant and it smells weird. It's been in the 90s every day and I've been sweating a ton running and just walking around or standing outside. I didn't know Tom's of Maine was owned by Colgate but I'm still going to try the Tom's antiperspirant because they can't control what their parent company does.

I will buy Ban then. I bought a $6 stick of Herban Cowboy over the weekend. I tried it on 20 minutes ago and after 15 minutes I had to wipe it off - my pits were stinging and itchy. I have not shaved since Sunday so it is not a shaving issue. :(

My boyfriend will use the HC - he likes their shaving soap and it smells similar.

That doesn't mean they haven't had the individual ingredients tested though. It's just clever wording meaning that the actual finished product hasn't been tested. I don't know either way whether Ban tests or not (It's not a UK available product) but I would never trust that wording.

Same. I still have no idea what to do when my stash of Mitchum runs out. I need an antiperspirant, nothing else will work. Fun fact: I used to get Mitchum on prescription before it was abailable in shops because I was so sweaty!
