I am probably on the unusual side but I am pretty shy plus at the age of 17 I was caring for my uncle who was dying of AIDS. I was scared of becoming intimate, contracting an STD and getting pregnant. I didn't have any sexual contact with anyone until I was 29. I would break up with guys when we were getting too close prior to that point. When I did, I figured out that intimacy and emotions were strongly tied for me. I have no regrets about my sexual choices and I'm actually glad for the choices I have made. Although admittedly I don't take my own advice here but you don't need a sexual partner to fulfill your sexual needs. It definitely is something you can explore on your own until you are ready.

I really wouldn't worry about lack of sexual experiences. Definitely talk to any potential partners about STDs and the use of protection. My advice is don't rush into things too quickly.

Oh my, no! Oh Lardfat, bad and mediocre sex is still at least another naked human with you! (obviously by bad I think we're talking awkward and unsatisfying, not like, cruel and not okay in that way)

Now I'm curious about what Lardfat is a filter for. It is a filter, yes?

I'm on Team Abstinence. I put nuns to shame with my prudishness.

Sometimes I wish I was less of a prude, but it just wouldn't be me so I'm going to embrace being a pirate prude.

My husband broke his hip and pelvis on july 25th. We can't have sex until mid september.

Okay it's time for me to join this thread now. What the heck people?! It's been over a month! Why is this so complicated?!

I totally don't think a month is a long time either, though I weirdly enough do not belong in this thread right now.

But it's actually over a month, and with no prospects! I've been going on little 'date-ish' things with two different guys I met on dating websites, and both are careening towards the 'just friends' route!

Also, the thing that makes this more annoying is the last time I had sex, it... well it wasn't actually that good, however there was something about it that was different than what I had ever had, and basically, ever since then I feel like a crazy person, because it's really all I think about. I mean, I'm actually a little worried about my sanity.

I know, saying 'a month' makes me feel like a bit of a douche, it doesn't seem that long! But it feels so much longer than that!

PS, this thread is depressing because there's so many really hot people in it. Ya'll should totally be getting laid.
