I really have to go to the bathroom, but the puffy armchair that I'm sitting in is so comfortable that I don't want to get up.

my job informed me they're terminating me (after 8 years of working for them) in 5 weeks (which was kinda nice of them to give me notice) and the first thing i thought of was, "i hope i make enough with a new job to afford yoga classes."

I wanted a glass of wine and I had to open a whole 1.5 liter bottle and much of it will not end up getting drunk. Also my roku is broken and I have to watch network tv.

I went op shopping (thrift store shopping) and picked out about 4 gorgeous vintage dresses and each one had bad stains that I didn't want to risk washing (in case they don't come out and then I can't return it to the store). And then I went to a store next door and they had everything but tempeh and I want tempeh bacon today.

I am changing my worst thing. End of Nate's friends died in an overdose. I don't know many of the details and I had only met this friend maybe 10 times. It is making me super sad. He has a daughter and that makes it really, really sad for me. He was an awesome guy when he wasn't using drugs.

I'm so sorry. <3 This is a dumb FWP...my new fancier food processor is baffling to lock each component in place and I miss my thrifted processor that I ended up locking into place with duck tape and it worked like a charm.

I want to go on vacation to Australia but it's overwhelming to plan for it because there is too much to see/do.

My carpal tunnel syndrome is getting worse from my cat lying in my lap with his head on my wrist. But he's too cute to move.

I lost my Urban Decay lip liner. Now I have to decide whether to buy another one or go lip color-less to a wedding. (I pretty much never wear lip color but something about dressing up seems to demand it.)

They feel a bit soothing on and come a bajillion colors.

Not to mention free refills on tea and drip coffee, and a free drink when you use your card to buy a pound bag of coffee. Oh, the many perks (no pun intended. . . ) of the SBux card.

I need to go to bed, but there is a purring cat on my foot and I don't want to disturb her.

I got offered casual work at the museum 3 minutes walk up the road from my house! It's a better hourly rate than Libraries casual work, but it's basically just sitting or standing around for hours on end and telling people which bit of written blurb answers their questions about which of the dinosaur's bones are real (or similar), so it's not exactly scintillating. I guess work usually isn't though, right?
They told me I could have a look at the hours available and pick what I wanted to do. Argh, conflict! How much do I want the extra cash and to be in the museum staff's good books (they have more interesting "sessional" work available sometimes, like kids art workshops) when balanced against already being tired out at the end of my normal working hours and having loads of housework that really needs doing and I don't have the energy to tackle?

Update: I took on a couple of weekends for next month, but one of them includes evening concerts, so I think that should be fun (and of course means I get to listen to music for free!).

Whenever I'm watching an episode of a TV show on Netflix, I HAVE to read the plot summary for the next episode as I'm watching the current episode. This often results in spoiling the episode that I'm watching, and I should just stop doing it, but I always feel this compulsive need to read the summary.
Also, my roommate's chinchilla chewed off the corner of one of my favorite posters (I hadn't put up the poster yet, so it was just lying on my desk).

We moved the spare room around and it doesn't quite look right, you know? There's more space (I'm requisitioning it as a tiny, tiny gym)but now the big blank wall looks more blank.
