I'm looking for a good sauerkraut, not a canned variety. I used to live near a Polish grocer that made their own but haven't seen anything like that in Portland yet. Thanks y'all.

I've seen local sauerkraut at Food Front. I think maybe Food Fight carries it too. I usually just buy Bubbies.

I will check Food Fight this week. I didn't know Bubbies made one and I do like their pickles.

Check New Seasons! The one by me has Bubbies sauerkraut in the refrigerator compartments nearish the tofu and seitan.

I love the Bubbies brand.

I buy Eden Foods' which comes in a glass jar near the pickles. I do believe there's a company out of Eugene or Olympia that makes local kraut of all varieties. It's pricey. I usually see it in the fridge at the co-op and possibly New Seasons.

People's has bulk olykraut.

That's what I was thinking of. Kim has been making an amazing kraut with cranberries, caraway, apples and cabbage. I can recipe you if you want.

Ooh, that would be great! I spend most of my time on the E. coast, and Olykraut is one of the things I miss from the W. I love the seaweed kraut.
