I'm considering taking my phone number out of my email signature. I get so irritated when people call me. I usually let it go to voicemail anyway, and then I respond to voicemails with emails. Those phone people probably feel the same way, just in reverse.
Even worse are the people who insist on faxing shiitake. Hello, it is 2012 and you are using a forking fax machine?!
What I'm really sick of right now is studying. I've been out of college a few years and really don't remember how to do it anymore. I'm taking a licensing exam in a few months, and it'll be really nice when that's done with because reading textbooks is forking boring.

On the email thing: request a meeting with someone, they say email me. So I email the exact same words. Within seconds of receiving the email the ring and say "tomorrow 10am." Well that is great, could you not have said..... let me check and I will get back to you later or else at least replied via the email you requested?!

I'm sick of being spoken to like shiitake just for doing my job (and I'm doing it as politely as I can, even when I'm being shouted at by a complete dick), just because people are too lazy/stupid to read regulations and fill in a forking form.
I'm sick of explaining how to write a risk assessment because people are too stupid/lazy to read the guidance and really they just want me to say "don't bother doing it", which I can't do.
I've had 12 years of it, I should be used to it by now but it really peas me off still.

I am sick and tired of work. Really forking sick and tired. I am also being sick of being crossed in love. Oh, and of being unable to express myself.

I am sick of accidentally biting my cheek, which leads to wounds that take ages to heal and make eating my favorite foods (salty foods!) very painful. Heal already!
Diet fads are pretty awful. Especially when nothing that they eat even makes sense in a 'paleo' way, since all the animals we eat today have been bred in such a way that they could never survive in the wild. If you're going to call yourself paleo, I expect you to forage, gather, and I guess hunt your own wild animals. Cavepeople did not buy their food from a grocery store. Or use refrigerators.

I'm tired of people who don't vaccinate their forking kids. Two dear friends of mine just spent a terrifying weekend finding out whether their five-week-old had whooping cough. Thank FSM, it turned out to be some lesser kind of lung crud.

I'm sick of work too. I have no days off in September until the end of the month. I have two exciting visits with some of my favourite PPKers (ameyfm and jdfunks!!!), but I don't have any days off to spend lots of time with them. Sigh. I am having a really hard time finding a new staff member to hire because everyone awesome doesn't want to make the commute (we are in farm country outside the city), so I'm just doing everything. And I am sick of it, even though I like my job/employer/coworkers. Just so sick of being tired.

Because I obviously have a grudge against YOUR four year old who hits other kids with wooden trucks, and all of my detailed documentation is fabricated, and the victim and all witnesses are obviously part of my plot to bring your kid down so I can finally steal that awesome stuffed dinosaur s/he likes to cuddle at nap time. I'm also incredibly sick of parents who expect me to transform their children into super-geniuses without imposing rules, natural consequences, delayed gratification, or anything else that might cause their child to feel something other than pure bliss for even a moment. And people wonder why burnout is so common for childcare workers. It's not the kids, it's the parents.

Not too vegan of a fruit fly solution, but: put some a sweet vinegar like balsamic or red wine in a cup, then put in a good amount of dish soap, then whisk it up until the top is completely covered in suds. Then leave that out where there is the most of them. They go into the suds, not knowing it's liquid, then drown. After a few hours you'll see the cup has a ton of them in it, and your house, not so much!
