Yeah, I loved that vegetable conversation! I really like Emmett's dad and Olivia. I hope they get to stay. I was hoping that Bay's parents would find her condoms.
Hmm so is Bay's dad having an affair?
I'm meh about the Angelo story line, because he bores me

Way to be a jerk, Daphne's grandma! Isn't she also Santana's homophobic grandma on Glee, btw? I've been meaning to watch that documentary! Netflix keeps recommending it to me since I watched Switch at Birth. I really like how when there are conversations that are all ASL, there is no sound in the background. There's always music or some sounds on TV and I think it really has an impact to not have any sound at any points during a tv show.

Both of the grandmas are rude!
I would have been pissed to have been given a regifted necklace if I was Bay, in this case really hurt and pissed! The grandma was so not nice in doing that.
Where was Emmet?

I also was disappointed about the lack of Emmett! He's my favorite part of this show. Yeah, boo grandmas. Poor Bay. And poor Daphne for not being hood enough anymore

I just discovered this show on Netflix and watched the first 10 within a week. Still haven't seen two episodes that aren't on hulu, but I'm all caught up. I'm absolutely loving it! I watched the first episode thinking it would be a silly show with a premise that sounded too ridiculous to actually work, but I was pleasantly surprised. I love, love, love the deaf culture aspect. The writing is good - they're taking that crazy idea and making actually seem plausible. And the characters are really easy to get invested in.
I love that Bay's mom finally seems to be realizing how hard this is on her, and that she stood up to Grandma for her daughter. And I also loved that Bay and her bio mom got to paint together - hopefully that relationship will start to build more.
I flat-out don't understand why none of the adults support Bay's need to know Angelo. I mean, sure, he's a fugitive and all, but he's her FATHER. Girl deserves to know the guy. Don't just write him off and do a little dance when he disappears.
And Emmett is just about the cutest thing EVER. Seriously. I really like how the relationship with him has helped develop Bay's character - it's made her considerably more likable.

The Kennish dad is totally a self-centered asparagus. Not a fan.

I think giving the nurse the money is pretty stupid, it is coming from a good place but the idea is not the best. Where have I seen the nurse before???

The person who they got to photograph as Ty and was on the phone was nothing like the original. I can understand why Emmet is mad but feel as though maybe Bay was clueless...

Yeah, Emmett needs to tell Bay. He's got to know that she's going to find out eventually (I mean, seriously, texting with Simone while in the same room as all those people? Simone having that conversation with Wilke in a house full of people? They suck at keeping secrets), and it's much better for her to hear it from him than to find out from someone else.

Also, I was annoyed that Emmett's hands were offscreen when he signed "I'm a jackass." I want to know how to sign that! (Well, I'll be taking classes at Gallaudet this summer, and living in the dorms for two weeks, so I'm sure I'll learn all sorts of interesting signs there. Also, the sign for "vegan" is pretty much that "vegetable" sign that this show has been using for "virgin," so I'm definitely going to have to be careful about that one. The "vegan" sign is "vegetable-person," where the "-person" part is a suffix that's used on a lot of signs, like "teacher" is "teach-person" and "lawyer" is "law-person" and "student" is "learn-person.")

I did not notice his hands were off screen for jack asparagus...I guess they do not want kids trying it out at school.
I think Emmet's mom was wrong to tell him not to tell Bay. I do not like Simone - she is just a crappy semi-friend to that group.

I really liked how Daphne handled the situation when Wilke came to pick her up as a surprise. I feel like on a lot of other shows her friend would have ended up stranded, not going to the prom or something, so it was nice that she stood up for him. Wilke's ok, but his refusal to learn ASL is super annoying!

Wilke is a character you hope will grow and mature but I am not sure if he will. Is he really gone (ABC Fam likes to really get guys off shows huh?)?
I feel sorry for Bay having to give Angelo money, that scene was acted out well! You could really see the disappointment on her face. With the parents/lifestyle she grew up with helping out her parents probably never occurred to her.
I wonder what will happen with Emmet? How his friendship with everyone will be effected?
