Sunday Sept 9th Sanctuary Century Benefit Bakesale

Some of us are whipping together a quickie bakesale for next weekend, Sunday September 9th. The location is not decided, but it will be close in on the East side. All funds we bring in will be matched by an anonymous donor, so this could be really amazing!

We need bakers and help. Please email kittee68 at gmail if you can help, or comment on the FB thread I started on my page.

Kittee, I'm tied up with the TBA festival all day, but that makes me wonder if that would be a good venue. There will be tonnes of people in and out all day, as it's the fourth day of the festival and a Sunday. The base is Washington High School--across the street from the mini-mall. Even at the mini-mall you'd get all that traffic. Things really pick up in the late afternoon/evening and there will be a LOT of people over there.

This is really great news about the donor!

we have a spot. doing it at the carts at mississippi marketplace again. the intersection is n. mississippi and skidmore, where native bowl and homegrown smoker are located.

I am undecided too! I'll definitely make some pretzel dogs, but not sure what else. I was thinking maybe some xgfx fauxstess style cupcakes, or zucchini bread, or mini mac n cheezie collard pies??

I've decided upon a double batch of pretzel dogs and xgfx zucchini crazy muff-cakes with a chocolate coconut streusel.

I watched the last pretzel dog and pizza roll get snatched up right as I walked over. It was so sad. I snagged a gf peanut butter chocolate chip cookie, mini banana bread, and a big bag of kale chips. It seemed like it was going really well!

We had an all day meeting for VegFest, and one of our planners came with 2 trays of goodies from the sale that she picked up on the way!! I had a muffin with lime frosting and a chocolate ginger cookie. Glad it was a success.

I sold those two boxes of goodies to the VegFest meeting attendee. That was really nice of her!

There was some gooood stuff. I am totally regretting not getting a pizza roll. I think we should have a PPK baked good exchange! We could all go home with goodies.
