I guess I missed an episode, but anyway, Karen looks all wrong as Marilyn, Bombshell is an awesome musical, and wait...no! Ivy! No!

I agree that somehow Karen seems completely wrong as Marilyn. Ivy would've been MUCH better. I would also NEVER say this about a real person (as opposed to a TV character), but I kinda hope Ellis gets killed next season. I could imagine him trying to take down Eileen next season (by suing that the Marilyn musical was his idea) and her new boyfriend killing him (but making it look like an accident).

Oh man Whovian that would be amazingly soapy (and amazing). This show should either go nuts crazy or focus more on the actual musical. It needs to commit. But hell I wish Bombshell was really coming to Bway bc it is awesome.

I met Christian Borle!! Love him. He said he's excited to work with Safran but what else could he say?

I'm sad, guys. I just saw season 2 casting news and one of my fav's, BDJ isn't returning. Granted I haven't seen the last 2 or 3 episodes, so this may make sense, but I'm still bummed. Others not returning are the actors playing Ellis(yay!), Dev, and Michael.

It doesn't make sense with the last ep actually. I'm really mad about it too, but I hope that means he's free to and will return to the stage. Love him so much. I guess it makes sense that Will Chase's character can't stay around Debra but really they're gonna get another Joe?

I'm so glad Ellis and Dev are gone. I liked Dev but all of his scenes were dumb relationship drama with Karen or incongruent work drama. It just didn't make a whole lot of sense!

Silly! This show is becoming an American Idol graveyard.

I finally managed to catch up and watch the first season on hulu. LOVE!!

A couple points I agree with.
1, Debra Messings wardrobe on this show is killer!
2, Leos character and lines are terrible.
3, Ivy is the better looking Marilyn, but I think Karen is better overall. Uma has no right in this show.
4, Ellis is annoying as shiitake, so glad she fired him.
5, The random inserts of pop solo moments needs to go.
6, When Michael was singing Bruno Mars as a rock opera he was channeling his Roger from Rent days.
7, The Tom and Julia relationship is adorable.

However, I love the girl who plays Karen in this! I think her voice is perfect for tv and broadway. And when she came back in the end and finally kicked Ivy to the curb for good, I mean c'mon. That was brilliant! She killed the ending.

Oh man, I SO disagree about Karen. I think she is awful. I mean, she can obviously sing and dance, but she has no charisma/acting talent and I just plain don't like watching her. But hey, different strokes, etc... When does the new season start?!

I think his new wife would disagree. Plus, you would have to pry him from my cold dead hands first! I don't think Ive had a celebrity crush this big since I was lusting after Joey from New Kids on the Block.

I'm not sure when the new season starts. I tried looking it up online but couldn't really find anything. Probably not until the beginning of 2013.

I saw 'Forbidden Broadway' this weekend, and they mocked 'Smash'!!! The two women in it play Megan Hilty and Katherine McPhee, in Marilyn gowns and wigs, and the song instead of 'Let Me Be Your Star' is 'Let Me Be Subpar'. Hahah it was hilarious. And at the end, one of the men came out in this old-rich-lady coat and a Lard Farquaad black wig and threw drinks in their faces! So funny.

Where's all the Smash talk been!? This season has been amazing. So much good music. And I take it back, Ivy IS Marilyn!

When the hell is it on? I watched the first 2 or 3 eps, then it wasn't on again, and I could never find it again and assumed it had been cancelled.

It moved from Tuesdays (I think) to Saturday nights. But only ever watch it on Hulu or On Demand. When it was on Tuesdays it came on past my bed time and I'm never home on Saturday nights, or if I am I'm committed to watching something else already.

They are cancelling it though after this season is over. Or so the internet is making it sound. Which makes me super sad and I hope isn't true!

I am strangely addicted to Smash, even though I find it very frustrating! I hate the whole Hitlist stuff this season and Karen's abusive boyfriend. But I love Ivy as Marilyn. I wish we got to see more of Bombshell stuff and less of the melodrama.

You don't like Hit List!!! I would pay to see that show if it were real. And Karen's boyfriend Jimmy is the love of my creepy broadway stalker life.

This past weeks episode was so sad and beautiful. When Christian Borle sang Vienna! Man there is some good talent on this show.

I haven't seen the most recent yet! But you have to explain how you could possibly like Jimmy!! He acts like a three year old most of the time.

Ha, well...he was Jack Kelly in Newsies on Broadway so he can do no wrong in my eyes. And his voice makes me want to fawn at his feet. I will give you the fact that his character on Smash is obnoxious, but he's supposed to be the hurt and wounded bad boy that can't handle the fame and his life. I like to blame it on the writers and not him. Catch up, you might like him in the end. Although you're gonna hate him a lot more before you like him, if you do at all.

I will not spoil it for any of you! But watch this and then tell me how you can't love him to pieces!
