Question: how long does perfume last? I was cleaning out my closet and found a bottle of LaVanille from a few years back that I used a few times then 'lost' it...Well, it still smells good so what is the deal on this subject?

Perfumes won't go bad, but some components may evaporate.

I still use a 15 year old bottle so I'm leaning toward forever.

If it doesn't smell weird it should be fine, as far as I know the only problem with old perfume is eventually the smell goes off, and can get pretty gross.

I emailed customer service at Splat and heard back from them, ALL of their products are cruelty free and vegan, yay! I have only used their semi permanent hair color but I LOVE it, it lasts much longer than manic panic, is easier to apply (less runny) and as far as I know, are not owned by a parent company that tests. http://www.splathaircolor.com/Also, I know deodorant has been discussed a lot, I splurged on the LaVanila deodorant a while ago and it is the best I have tried so far! It IS on the pricey side but I have had my same one for over six months and it's still going strong. It's held up to an extra hot and humid summer plus sweaty running and hot yoga sessions without any stink. I highly recommend!

Is seems I have better luck with roll on & gel types. If it sucks for me - does anyone think it is tacky to take it back for a refund?

I always get samples when I can, to avoid returns, but for something like that, what are you gonna do? They'll take it back no problem.

That LaVanille one did nothing for me, but I am a pretty sweaty human. I smells great and the packaging is adorable. I gave it to my husband to use.

I got a sample of the UD Naked foundation, and I really like it! It's very thin, which worried me, but the coverage is actually decent (light-medium, not heavy). It matches my skin well, too. The only thing is I'll have to find a separate sunscreen that doesn't make me break out, and that won't be easy.
I bought Fresh's strawberry flowers perfume recently too. It's different from what I usually buy- "green", if you will- but I like it a lot.

I kinda want to buy the Fresh Strawberry as well, because I love strawberry, there is another Fresh scent I want - pausing on the name. Right now I am wearing Fresh's brown sugar!

I have a bottle of YSL Opium eau de toilette spray that's at least 10 years old and still smells good. I know they aren't really perfumes, but most of the scents I've gotten from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab seem to improve with age.

So does anyone know the deal with Hard Candy and their vegan list? I remember reading that it is faulty. I went to WalMart tonight which is rather rare to try and find a dark brown fitted sheet (not a set) and saw pretty HC stuff.
Also is Freeman's avocado & oatmeal mask still vegan? They had single use packs so I bought one, if not no biggie I can toss it to my mama.

I'm pretty sure Hard Candy took down their vegan list, but yeah, it was not correct. You have to read the ingredients to be sure with their stuff. Off the top of my head I know the original Sheer Envy primer is vegan (but the other two types aren't) and I'm pretty sure the lash stain is vegan. The nail polishes may contain guanine (or it could have been carmine, I know it was one or the other, and I'm pretty sure it was guanine.)
Sorry I'm not especially helpful.

Does anyone know if the Butter London Master lotion really smells like tea? I like tea scents!

Re: the LaVanila deodorant, it is a roll on, solid and white but it doesn't seem to transfer to my clothing, which is a huge bonus since most of my clothes are black. I have super sensitive skin, I can usually only shave my armpits a few times a week and haven't had any issues with this deodorant causing irritation. It is pricey but sephora has an excellent return policy and if a product truly does not work for you, don't fret about returning it! I live in Southern California and we have had a mighty hot and humid summer plus I typically work out pretty hard and I haven't had any stink issues though I do tend to carry my deodorant with me to reapply on extra hot days but that is more a preventative measure than necessity.the only issue i have with the deodorant is that i noticed it seems to go on slightly wet at first but it no longer bothers me. i hope this helps! I realize that this is what works for me and may not work for everyone but I know how frustrating it is to find a deodorant that does what it's supposed to!

I have a few of the Bigelow ones ( got them at a close out sale once for like a buck each). They are super minty and shiny I love them.
