Do we have a thread for vegan garden products and coupon codes?

If not, I've got two tips:

1. 50% off coupon code for seeds from Hudson Valley Seed Library: 5050JULY
These guys grow their own seeds in addition to sourcing seeds from non-Monsanto options. They also sent me a message last year that they use green manure (planting cover crops to replenish the soil's nutrients). AND they support artists with their art seed packets and travelling exhibit.

2. Received a sample of a vegan pelleted fertilizer and am trying it in pots with depleted soil and in one raised bed. The challenge with dry fertilizer is that you don't see instant results so I won't be able to report back for a while. But the coleus in the big pot on the porch with the most crappy soil is starting to go HUGE when it has no reason to cause the soil is junk. Here's a link to the vegan fertilizer, it's developed by one of the very few farms with vegan CSA programs (no animal meals or manure used in their organic farm). http://www.growveganic.com/

pretty much all our seeds came from hudson valley seed library this year. they pretty much kick total asparagus and i know that anything they're selling seeds for will grow in my area.

Well, I finally have the results of my veganic fertilizer test posted on my blog. You can see photos of the progress of a very large potted coleus that started out in horrid soil. Seriously. I dumped all the depleted and hard soil remnants from the past two years of pots into the big pot because I couldn't bring myself to buy all fresh potting soil to fill it. It's HUGE and would have been very expensive. So I tossed in a few handfuls of the Grow Veganic slow-release pellets and voila! One month in and my kitchen window coleus cuttings when from straggly, little wilty, food starved, root balls to waist high (in a big pot). Anyway, I'm stocking up on this stuff for next year for sure. Maybe I'll try tomatoes again in 2013; this year was a terrible tomato year in Chicago (drought).

Here's the link to my review: http://wp.me/pdVnX-G7

Hope it helps you guys.
