I just spent 7 days with my kids away to see my parents, while my partner stayed home to work. We just got back, and it's been SOOOO wonderful to be home with my sweetheart and have us all together again. He loves his boys so much, and he just couldn't wait to see them again. (In our oldest son's lifetime, we've never been apart for longer than a day. This was super long for us!) We had tons of snuggles and watched a movie together all curled up on the couch while it rained outside. And it was amazing having someone there who could take the baby for a moment so I could use the bathroom/fix a quick meal/take a shower. Just so awesome. My family rocks.

Love it! That looks like a really nice wagon-- do you know the brand? It looks like it would be great for trips to the farmer's market.

Mr bap quit his part time job and we have weekends together again! He'd been working Saturdays and Sunday's in addition to Monday through Friday and it was really wearing on both of us to never be around at the same time. Henry decided to drive home the point that it was a good idea by being impossible to put down Saturday night (his last night at his 2nd job). I'm so so happy to have him around on weekends again!

What a wonderful picture, Mittenmacher...I want to live there!
Very cool thread too, btw kimba. :)
My favorite Freya/Pappa moment lately: We have this little kiddie pool that we've been using sometimes inside lately now that it's cooler. We put in some toys or just sit and roll around (it's a blow-up one). About a week ago, I'm in the kitchen and I hear massive massive giggles coming from the living room. K is in there, with Freya laying down in the pool while he holds the other side and drags her around the room. Seriously, I think the most fun she may have had in her short life so far. I took some video of them doing it again later, and I think I've watched it 374 times already. Oh my Lard.

My partner is so incredibly supportive and we have been more in love than ever since Scarlett was born. We moved to a place where neither of us wants to live so that I could go to school for three years, and he was happy to do it. Almost a year ago we found out I was pregnant, and it was definitely not his idea to have a baby, but he was nothing but supportive and took care of everything when I was too tired to do anything but collapse when I got home from school. He came to every single midwife appointment. He never left my side through my long, hard labor. I thought my heart was going to explode when Scarlett was born and he took off his shirt and held her and she looked up at him, obviously recognizing his voice. Yesterday was my first 12 hour day back at school, and I was so sad to leave her. He texted me pictures and love notes all day to cheer me up, and managed to take care of Scarlett and our wild dogs, do all our grocery shopping, and have dinner waiting for me when I got home!

Weather cooled down here a bit so it was a beautiful high 70's blue sky kind of day. My hubby and I took Giles to the park and had a picnic. A real sit down on a blanket and eat sandwiches while you move all the food around to keep it away from the ants picnic! Giles layed on the boppy and stared up at the trees and we enjoyed about 2 hours in the nice breeze looking out at the bayou. It was so fun - wish I had brought the camera.

Malka and Mr. Ariann came to have lunch with me at work. Malka wandered around the hall walking into people's offices until she remembered that the fun toy room was around the corner from my office and then it was party city. It was super adorable. Everybody loves when she comes to visit.
Today she's wearing her suspender onesie and she walks like an old man - it is a perfect effect, serious Benjamin Button action.

Mr. K is forgoing a free ticket to a football game with his brother, on a beautiful Sunday, to attend a breastfeeding class with me. He doesn't even technically *need* to go, but I told him a few weeks ago that I'd feel awkward if I was the only one there with no partner. So, basically he's doing this just so I don't feel weird.

I love how DH can make the geekling smile even when she's super cranky and gassy! He acts all goofy and stuff.
Oh and how when he does his thrift store runs, he often comes back with stuff for her :)
