Is there a reason I haven't heard much about the Green Light Cafe? Is it good? We're going to be in Asheville shortly and wasn't sure if it was worth a visit. Thanks!

How long are you going to be there? We went to Green Light last time we were there, and it was okay but not great. I really liked Firestorm Cafe. Or you could eat every meal at Plant. You would be broke but well fed.

Green Light Cafe closed really recently (this past Friday, I believe). I was never too crazy about it. . . it's cool that it's all-veg/ almost-all-vegan, but I've always thought that the food was mediocre and the service was less than stellar (really slow when we were the only people in the restaurant, being treated rudely, etc. etc. etc. . . ).

I'm sorry to hear it closed. We have been to Firestorm for breakfast and really liked it. This trip we are staying at a B and B, so I'll have to check their menu again.
We're trying to eat at Plant 3 times. Yes, really. And Nine Mile, Rosetta's, and Laughing Seed. So we have a wee bit of room for some place we've never been.
Thanks a lot for the info, guys!

Heiwa Shokudo has delicious vegan sushi options next time one of y'all stops by! I suggest all the restaurants Tamasin has been to.

Zen Sushi is better than Heiwa! Well, they both have a good tempeh roll, but at least a few years back Heiwa's miso soup was not vegan. I let miso soup trump it and say Zen Sushi!
