Man, we had to give our cockatiel belly shots of an antibiotic with a big needle twice a day for two weeks. She had actual holes in her belly, and was so thin her bones were sticking up. And she never stopped being sweet or understanding that we were trying to help her. That was the absolute worst. I still feel nauseus just thinking about it. (she is currently happily plump and very athletic and taking a nap after her days exertions flying around the house; miracle bird)
