First food porn! I love my new(ish) phone, it has a great camera.

I bought some vegetarian pho base that was on sale at the store, and being that I have never made pho before, I came here for help and got some great pointers.

It was a huge sucess. Both myself and my omni partner love pho, it was the first time making it. Yes I cheated a bit with the base broth, but it was only 99 cents. It was super easy too, a 30 minute meal for sure.

Here is the noodles with the faux pho meat. I used soy curls rehydrated in 'beef' broth and tamari, then carmalized with garlic, tamari, and LOTS of sirracha.

Here is my pho set up (yeah we eat at the coffee table. It was a total mess after pho.)

Here is a close up of the pholiciousness

It looks lovely, though I must admit that I just stopped in for the funny title.

Looks SO nice! Love all the fixins. I love that you have sriracha and what appears to be sambal at your table. I'm partial to sambal myself.

I like the sambal best too. Better than sirracha (blasphemy!) on most things. I put a huge spoonful in my pho, because I get down like that. My partner didn't listen to me, and put ghost chilli in his (we grow them) and couldn't finish his pho.

That looks so good! I love your table settings, too (I wouldn't have noticed it was the coffee table if you hadn't said so).
