A recent survey of Ohio Republicans found that 15% of respondents believe Romney had more to do with killing Osama bin Laden than Obama did. And another 47% aren't sure who was more responsible. ( The article at Mother Jones, who doesn't think we should take those respondents at their word.)

I can't believe that the GOP base seems to have totally forgotten about Bush and are advocating a return to the policies he used to crash and burn our economy...

I think it is probably more a case that some people wouldn't want to give Obama 'credit' for anything. Based on the poll results, I'm guessing those that chose Romney love Romney and most of those not sure would probably have preferred if Bush was an option.

i don't care whether they want to give obama credit or not! i don't even care why they want what they want! romney was nowhere near that shiitake. i'd like to give ben greenman credit for any half-decent music journalism that sasha frere-jones manages to turn out, because sasha is the forking worst, but i don't, because i'm not wildly delusional.
