the peanut butter pancakes with the optional chocolate chips and banana slices are incredible!

I made the Summer Squash Soup tonight, using a pattypan squash and a globe zucchini...and red potatoes because that's what I had on hand. It's absolutely delicious and very filling.

ooh, i have a bunch of pattypan squash that need to be used asap. gonna make this now. thanks for the idea, karichelle!

update: made the thai summer squash soup. holy shiitake. very easy to make, and for such simple ingredients, it tastes PHENOMENAL. the only change i made was subbing celery seeds for the celery since i didn't have any, and i think it worked well.

Made the peanut pumpkin soup - mostly because I happened to have everything in my pantry already. Very yummy and rich. I am looking forward to making that summer squash soup now too!

Thanks to everyone recommending the summer squash soup! I made it today and it's great! I only puréed half of it, because I like my soups kinda chunky. I'll have to keep this recipe in mind for whenever I have some zucchini to use up. And, as I have some zucchini left over from his recipe, it's chocolate zucchini bread time! I don't think I've mentioned this recipe yet - it's another one I made from this book that has been great.

I made the Curried Cauliflower soup, it was pretty good. I used an immersion blender and thought if I had a regular blender it might have been smoother.
