does trader joe's carry cheezes? just wondering and if so, what kinds do they offer? and are they any good? no nut based cheeze suggestions please as i am allergic to all nuts.

i admit i do miss eating cheese out of hand or on a pizza. never put cheese on my sandwiches.

They only carry the ones that aren't vegan.

You could look at the Uncheese cookbook.

I would recommend Daiya wedges for eating out of hand and Daiya shreds for pizza. I get these at Whole Foods as TJ's does not cary any vegan cheese. For eating out of hand or spreading you also might want to look up tofu misozuke.

thanks, I've seen Daiya wedges & shreds at Earth Fare. They are pricey and I can totally understand why they are. perhaps i'll pick some up for a special treat sometime, i don't think i could afford to eat them out of hand (if i like the taste) as much as i would want to!

First ever trip to Trader Joe's! We just got one in Sarasota, and I'm pretty stoked. I have now eaten the amazing maple cookie. I'm scared for the lifespan of this box. I made a list from just the first few pages of this thread, and got quite a few things that you guys recommended. I'm gonna have a pretty awesome next few days of eating!

I came in to report that the dark chocolate crisps are just about the greatest food in the entire world.

i saw they now have a dehydrated seaweed salad with a V, i bought a pack for my stepfather...i am not a fan of sea slime!

Not a seaweed fan here either. I bought the roasted seaweed snack and I was glad it was cheap, because it was NASTY. I ate one and threw the rest away.

Oh man those seaweed snacks are the best!!!

If you don't like seaweed why would you buy the roasted SEAWEED snack? It seems obvious you'd think it was nasty if you don't like seaweed seeing as that is really all it is...

That Soy Creamy doesn't last long enough.

Maybe the "not a seaweed fan" realization came after trying the snacks?

I'm not usually a fan, but I tried them anyway because I was curious and I thought the roasted/salted thing might make them less fishy, but no. My dog loved them though! And then breathed on me with seaweed breath the rest of the day.

I like those wasabi seaweed things a lot, but the packaging kills me so it's a rare pick up. Note: they're really good with a glass of beer.

Exactly. I hadn't even eaten seaweed before those, and I will never eat it again.

My cat loves those things. When I get the package out, he runs over for some.

I thought the same thing, I ended up giving them to a friend when they first came out.

Oh man, I love the seaweed snacks. Every time I buy them, though, my first thought is why did I buy these again, and by the third one, I'm in love again.

I finally tried the mandarin nuggets the other night and they were really good. My only complaint is that there are supposed to be 2 servings, and I wish it were 2 smaller packages of sauce instead of just one.

I love those seaweed snacks almost as much as I love my cats or nail polish.

My mom and I bought them on a whim and regretted it pretty intensely. Seaweed is not for me.

My silly mistake was thinking that most people have tried sushi. This is quite presumptuous and maybe even pretentious. Sorry to those I offended.

I actually don't mind seaweed in sushi at all. It just doesn't work for me on its own.

I'm in the seaweed snack hating group. I do like sushi, but these were just WAY too much on their own. I offered it to my cats, but they declined as well.

My cats love them too, so does the dog, and their mom. But yeah, the packaging is so wasteful.
