There will be a plot-line and a heroine. I figured I'd sign up with an category feed URL so that if I post any fall garden related stuff, they won't clutter the VMF feed. Hoping this URL works as is without the = and ? characters after the last slash: http://snarkyvegan.wordpress.com/catego ... -2012/feedThis is awesome! I can't wait, I've got so much kale! Grocery store recently had a sale and I stocked up.

I'd like to try this year! I suck at food porn but I've been meaning to tackle more traditional Newfie foods (I'll never invent vegan cod tongues, I don't think, but things like toutons and jiggs dinner, and MAYBE find some kind of fried food that just might replace fried cod), cook things with ingredients most Newfies would be familiar with and survival guides for rural Newfies who don't have access to supermarkets.

I've got my theme! I'm going with a pizzeria focus. We finally moved away from making the same old pizza with the same toppings recently and realized we want to try many more. So I'll be posting, hopefully a couple times a week, with pizzeria stuff.
Mostly pizza, but I'd also like to try calzones and some sides. We'll see how it goes!

For some obscure reason pizza in Sweden almost always comes with a side of shredded cabbage with vinegar, oil, and cracked black pepper (roasted red peppers are also a common addition). Most pizzerias in this country are not Swedish nor Italian (in my city they are typically owned by Iranian immigrants), but I don't know where this tradition comes from. But I can tell you that it is the same all over the country.

I've got a food blog I've ignored for ages. I think I'm going to do a theme of 'Food to share'. That way I can bake, share food with my work crew (inc several vegans), have friends round, and generally do the things I enjoy abut food.

Sooo... I signed up with my jam-theme but I think I'll go another route, having different themes on different days of the week. I found some of my favourite blogs last year doing that and I think I'll have a lot more fun doing it that way. So I'll probably have a chili-day, a lingonberry-day, a chopped-day (me and my partner taking turns challanging each other with ingredients) and two others.

I was pondering a secondary theme... don't know if that'd be too much for a first timer though. Looking forward to having a go, though, whatever I do :) Can't wait for lots of Graasland bento though, yours are always so amazing! Hi KB(ee)! Will definitely be dropping by your blog. :) I actually changed my theme a bit after my holiday in France: decided to make it "vegan on the road". Bentos fit that theme perfectly!

I would be super interested to read a mofo blog about the grocery spending challenge that a lot of people are doing! Someone should blog about the whole month of trying to stay within budget! I would if I had been doing the challenge.

I've joined my blog in. We've got a super lame theme - we're getting married in Maui (and spending the two weeks before that driving from LA to Seattle). US American food from an Australian perspective :)

I'm going to do 'what I feed my kids', since they normally have some modified version of the grown up food I write about on my blog. The kids are omni, but eat vegan at home so i want to make a special effort to make their food exciting for Vegan MOFO

So I've never blogged before, but I read lots of blogs, and I've been reading MoFo posts since they started up. But this year I had an idea and I just have to do it. You know how there is a food holiday for just about every day of the year? Well I think I'm going to follow the food holidays for October and veganize everything that isn't! I'll use this list: http://www.tfdutch.com/foodh.htm. Fortunately some days have multiple food celebrations, so I'll have a tiny bit of flexibility. And some days I'll have to get really creative (see October 14, National Chocolate Covered Insect Day). So those of you that do blog, where do you recommend I set up shop? Blogspot, WordPress, Tumblr? I'm very computer literate, but would like an easy and slick interface.

I love your idea, zensquiggle! I had no idea there were so many food days. America is weird!
My blog is powered by Wordpress and I really like it. Super easy to use. I have a Tumblr too, but I don't use it often and when I do it's really just to share photos. I prefer Wordpress for text-based stuff.

I'm going for it! National Food Days, here I come... I figure it'll either be the most awesome thing EVER or it will be an epic disaster, either of which could make for a lot of fun!
I'll get a blog site set up in the next couple of days and add myself to the official MoFo list. I'm really excited!

Thanks for the support you guys! You convinced me to go with my waffle theme and I'm officially signed up. I'm not sure how I'll be able to survive on waffles for a month, but there are worse things, right?
