Been Vegan for four and one half years. Try this at 74 years of age and you will know what it is like to learn how to cook all over again. It was drastic. Just ask my husband. Then someone gave me Vegan With a Vengence cookbook. All my problems were solved. Thank you Isa. That book is so food splattered, I may have to buy another soon. Did buy Veganomico very recently, Today I made Green Tea icecream. Yummy. Thanks for making life easier, and am looking forward to your next publication in 2013.

Welcome to the world of vegan! Vegan with a Vengeance is my favorite cook book too. Mine is horribly stained as well.

So glad Isa's books helped you and that you found your way here! You should take a peek at another of her books, Appetite for Reduction, tons of easy but amazing recipes. Probably the most used book in my house these days.

i don't remember which came first, VwaV or the ppk, but my copy of that cookbook is about 7 years old now with stained, yellowed pages and a missing back. each time i pull it out to read one of the recipes with many added notes of my own, it's like chatting with an old friend. i often think about how much that book not only changed the way i eat, but how it changed my lifestyle as well; certainly for the better!

Irene, you rock. Congrats on going vegan. I'm so glad VWAV helped you- it was a big help to me as well! Some of my pages stick together- they're probably bound by pumpkin muffin batter.
