NHL 2012-13. The third Bettman lockout year.

Sigh. Everyone sucks. The NHL is ridiculous.

I am going to start getting in to the WHL/Victoria Royals and back in to the Vancouver Giants.

What are your plans, 1% of PPKers who are probably distraught about this?

I'm pissed! And I don't know that much about the executive/administrative level of hockey, but I have noticed that since Bettman came in there are all these lockouts! What?! That never used to happen in the old days! I am distraught, and I mean seriously. Every locked out hockey year is the Stanley Cup the Leafs dint win.

We officially have no hockey this year? I haven't been paying attention. And we cut our cable, so I no longer get Comcast Sportsnet which unless I'm listening to the radio is like the only channel in our area where we can get sports news. I might be making that up, but it was the only channel we watched for sports news.

I'm annoyed. Watching hockey was my stress relief. At the moment I'm planning on going to the college level hockey games at my uni. So happy I chose school in Canada.

It's official! For now, anyway. Everything about it is skewed. I can't really sympathize with any of the sides, because everyone is just so ridiculous except certain players who actually just want to play. But even they are being dramatic babies about it.

We watched a clip of the Canucks in class when we were talking about sleep (because they hired some sleep specialist to help them through the crazy travel schedule) and it made me miss hockey so much!

It's really stupid because hockey already struggles to find an audience in the USA. (That matters because the league decided to push a bunch of teams down here.) It's expensive to watch in person, it's expensive for kids to play.

The owners could let the season start without a CBA.

Okay, I am excited. Montreal and Toronto playing tonight, so it's starting off with a bang! And I usually don't get excited about regular season, or about the Leafs, but I admit I've caught some excitement.

It's hard not to! The CBC coverage is SO INCREDIBLY dramatic but whatever, fine, it's the middle of the winter, we all need a new but old distraction from real life! Right?!

Meggs! You are in the right timezone now! Please maintain your affiliation with the Canucks. And you can go to CRAZY cheap Canucks-Coyotes games in Phoenix! I was in the sixth row for $20 once. Compare that to upwards of $500 in Vancouver. In fact, I might as well come visit you in AZ and we can go to a game!!!

This is the most clumsy and hilarious NHL hockey I've ever seen.

I'm glad the lockout pissed me off so much because now I can watch without getting too emotionally invested. Which can seriously be a problem for me.
