One thing that came up a lot last year was how many of the giveaways were US only - that wasn't intentional, obviously when thinking of companies to contact I went with stuff i've had and like. This year we'd really like to get more companies from other countries to participate! Obviously a lot of the vegan food companies are located in North America, but if your country has an online or brick-and-mortar vegan store, or if you have a local vegan bakery that you think would be interested, let us know so we can contact them.

Obviously most bakeries don't want to ship because it's expensive to get them there in a timely matter, but they could do a gift certificate or pick-up only for the prize. Wouldn't it be cool if we could have a giveaway day where a bunch of vegan bakeries from around the world all gave away a prize?

I'm excited for this because I'm pretty sure I was a complainer last year (sorry!). I'm hoping to do a couple of international giveaways of local products this year too, so people overseas can try them.

Anyway, a few of the bigger online stores here that might be able to offer gift certifcates or something else:

Vegan Online (my favourite, because they're from my hometown and they also run an awesome animal sanctuary)
The Cruelty Free Shop
Vegan Perfection (they import a lot of overseas stuff to retail stores here, but I've never actually ordered directly from them)

La Panella is a vegan bakery in Melbourne that's pretty much every Australian vegan's favourite place ever (and most vegans gravitate towards Melbourne at least once a year so a gift certificate would totally get used). Rubyfruit is an amazing new vegan bakery, but their location is kind of in the middle of nowhere so it might not be any good unless they could express post an order of stuff. And Eggless is an awesome, mostly vegan dessert cafe/bakery in Adelaide.

Excitement!

Companies I think would be great for giveaways:

Vegusto (amazing vegan cheeses)
Bear (fruit yoyo's and granola packs)
Happy Kitchen (delicious raw vegan brownies)
Vegan Store (loads of vegan stuff!)
Booja Booja (delicious vegan truffles)

As for bakeries I'm planning on relaunching Operation Icing after its little summer break in the first week of October & I could definitely do a collection only giveaway. Ms Cupcake in London might be up for it too, she's lovely & they donated to the last WWVBS I organised.

In Europe, it might be worthwhile to contact:

Alpro/Provamel (dairy and meat substitutes)
Vantastic foods (dairy and meat substitutes and chocolate)
Tartex (vegan pate in numerous flavors)
Vegusto (cheeeeeeze)
Wheaty (sausages)
De Vegetarische Slager (Dutch company that makes incredibly realistic fake chicken)

More UK companies:

Redwoods are usually pretty generous for prizes, or they certainly used to be.
Goodlife had a big stall where they were demo-ing huge amounts of goodies at my local vegan fair so I think they'd be worth a shot too.

Green Edge is popular in Brisbane. Wonder if they'd do something?

In Canada you may be able to get gift certificates from Karmavore and Viva Granola Vegan Store.

I was thinking about the same things as Cornelie, and I can recommend Provamel, they are open to give-aways and taste-testing.

I can add:
- Wilmersburger : great cheese with a gouda taste
- Bute Island : sheese and sausages
- Mozzarisella : alternative mozzarella
- Vantastic Foods : a lot of vegan products!
- Plamil Foods : spreads and mayo
