I did find, however, that as is, it was a little bland for my taste. I like LOTS of spices and flavor! So, I sprinkled some pumpkin pie spice on top of my serving.

Was it sweet-tasting? The pic looks great, but I'm not sure how strong the pumpkin taste is. Too bad it was bland, huh? I wonder if you could throw some salt on it. I don't get fancy with my cooking, can you tell?? What other spices would you add besides salt and/or pumpkin pie spice?

I made pretty much the same thing recently, but with vegetable broth and homemade heavy cream, plus some EB, so it was pretty rich and tasty. I didn't use sweetener or tomato paste though, and I topped it with toasted walnuts. I also added a little nutritional yeast to some of it.
