on that note, how about a 12-pack of mori-nu? (i love H-mart!!!)
(at one time, i even had 2 12-packs in my pantry. one firm and the other extra-firm. these days i only get 1 pack of extra-firm)

Our spare fridge in the basement holds husbands beer in the door, and like 10 different flours and grains in airtight containers. Oh and extra soy milk.

You spend ages trying to work out how to organise your spices when planning a kitchen renovation.

I have those pull out spice racks from Bed Bath and Beyond that hold 18 spices or more of the smaller ones. I have two of those and then lined up and stacked next to them on each shelf are more spices. Then a bag on top full of all my bulk spice buys. Ugh. I love that one picture it is beautiful and functional.

the freezer contains nothing but vegetable scraps for stock, vegetable scraps for compost, four tubs of seitan simmer broth, and a dozen one-cup servings of various cooked beans.

Right, I'm going or organise my spices- you've pushed me over the edge! My cupboard is a disgrace! I think I'm going to clear a drawer and do something creative (and free!) with cardboard...

We used to have a vegan house, but now my husband makes eggs, and my pet peeve is that it makes the trap stink. When you stand over the sink, its a sulfury funkfest.

ours can smell pretty sufury, but that's because of the black salt.

speaking of which, a 1 lb bag of black salt is a pretty bad giveaway.

Yes, this. I have an impressive amount of dried beans and several kinds of canned beans "for emergencies." "Oh god it's 8:30 and I don't know what to make for dinner"-type emergencies.

I read that as "you've had a legume party". Which really would be an indication you were in a vegan house. And would be amazing.
