August is full of birthdays, anniversaries, vacations and school starting up again -- combined it means that the blog gets put on the back burner. Now that it's September, it's time to catch-up. We've been using our Masa Harina like crazy this month Enchiladas (stuffed w/hickory-smoked tofu, onion & Daiya Jack, topped w/tomato & ancho chile sauce) & Guacamole  Chiles Rellenos with Enchiladas Zucchini and Avocado Tartar with Green Zebra Tomato and Cashew Cheese Stack (Raw)  Farmers Market: Fingerling Potatoes, Green Beans, Eggplant, Tomatillos, Cherry Tomatoes, Edamame, Thai Peppers, Lacinato Kale and Chinese Long Beans.  Our garden has also given us a bounty of Squash Blossoms (courtesy of this monster Cinderella Pumpkin which we found growing in our front yard!)  Squash Blossom Fritto Misto Squash Blossom Fritto Misto and Lotus Root Chips Edamame and Lotus Root Chips  We watched "Jiro Dreams Of Sushi," and then attempted these...Avocado Carrot and Tofu Maki Roll about to get rolled  Avocado Carrot and Tofu Maki Roll  Braised Shiitake Nigiri  Braised Lotus Root Nigiri  Braised Shiitake Nigiri / Avocado Carrot and Tofu Maki  (more, later)
