    * the strange reflection in the astronaut's helmet is mocking the unconvincing photographs taken during the 1969 american "lunar landing"...obviously the comets are behind him ! dun dun dun the bat with colourful drippy background was a black and white still life project from 2nd year painting, we had to make our own black out of complementary colours and i used as much colour as possible HA magenta-yellow sky with floating bloated dude is just some random shiitake i did this summer the foetus thing is entitled "mother's nature", a photo extension project

   yes, the canvas is curved i suck at photographing my work - the colours are much more vibrant in person - but you get the general idea.

i wish you could see all the texture in it, too! the painting is really shiny and drippy and thick.

Wow, how have I not been to this thread before? The PPK has crazy amounts of talent! Got bored tonight, threw this together:  I'm pretty sure it's not quite done yet, but it's a good start.

I will have to take a photo of my recent painting (of my precious dog friend who passed away 2 years ago).... but in the meantime, here is one from late 2006 or early 2007. I haven't painted much since then.. I have been doing mostly illustration and relief prints. However, I am taking a painting class this next term, so hopefully I will get inspired again to pick up the brush! Untitled acrylic on 2 canvases

i don't make paintings, but i am a scenic painter (painting/finishing scenery for theatre and operas, sometimes more boring stuff for corporate environments or trade shows too). can i post that stuff here? i woodgrained for an entire week pretty much for a set for the music man. here is one segment of the floor:  and a close up in nicer light:  i love this drop on which i painted sheet music. it's almost 40 feet tall:  close up of the music:

I haven't done anything for a while, but here's a little stencil I did a few years ago for my aunty...  another little one I did (each panel is only 3x5 inches)  and a piece for my art class in highschool (back in 2005...)

  i painted this over the weekend for a friend. it's his xmas gift. now that i look at photos of it, it looks like his clavicle is his mandible. it's not! he has no lower jaw. :(
