This is my 5th mofo (I think!), but my first year with a theme. Eat to the Beat, foods inspired by music.
Next year I'd love to do a month's worth of foods from His Dark Materials, but that could be a tough one to pull off!

Next year I'd love to do a month's worth of foods from His Dark Materials, but that could be a tough one to pull off! Cool idea. Bryant Terry does that in his cookbooks. He always has a slammin' soundtrack to go with his menus and recipes.

I think I'll do exotic fruit and vegetable recipes. This country has all sorts of crazy produce and it would be fun to feature them. I feel a little bad that they can't be replicated by people living outside of the country, but hey, that's the point of inviting foreign vegans. =)
I'm building an encyclopedia of India's 100 fruits and I'd do well to build a recipe associated with a few of them (I was very pleased with my banana flower salad).
Should be good fun!

Should be good fun! Oh yes! I have a brilliant Indian shop opposite me and I do use some of the veg but it would be brilliant to see more!

I'm going to be doing lunches. It's not a specific MoFo theme, it's just what my blog normally is! It's my first time doing MoFo, so I didn't want to overload myself with ideas. If I get through this one maybe next year I can have theme days!
I love all the ideas in here and can't wait to start reading all the posts!

I like the "Fall Meals" idea noted on page 1. Am thinking similar... but maybe "Farmer's Market Finds" Meals or Side dishes noted around ingredients found at the farmer's market.
The added bonus: if I can get my 12 year old to eat it! :P

Ooh, I like this one! I have a couple of things going on. Mondays will be Mike Makes Monday Meals - I'm teaching my husband to make some simple meals so he doesn't spend the next month when I'm in the US eating nothing but cookies and hummus. I'm also gonna do a Sunday baking day - I'll bake something and then take the results in to work. I might not only bake on Sunday, but I'll for sure bake every Sunday. And I'll be carrying on with the cookbook challenge, but I won't leave that for a particular day. I also want to do some classic British food, but I think I've had that on the agenda for the last couple of MoFos, so we'll see.

This is my first year following MOFO! It was quite a last minute decisions and so possible themes have only just begun to run through my mind. I think I might go with oats!! I love love love oats...oatmeal, granola, streusel, oatcakes, snack bars, cookies....perfect for the chilly season and the possibilities are pretty much endless! Having fun browsing through everyone elses ideas too. http://www.includingcake.com

I am 8 months pregnant with my first vegan baby and I thought I would focus on all the food-related questions I've been getting!
I love the idea of themed days and I was thinking about doing something like Mondays: baby bump pics/preggo posts (a girl needs a day off!), Tuesdays: Calcium, Wednesdays: Iron, Thursdays: Protein, Fridays: Meal planning, and Saturdays: Freezer meals. I've been finding that everyone is absolutely obsessed with how I can specifically get enough calcium, iron and protein and I thought it would be fun to pick different nutrient-rich foods every week and focus on them! I also desperately need to stock my freezer in anticipation of my little Squid's arrival so I thought this might be a fun way to work on that ;)
I have to admit, I'm really nervous about doing VeganMoFo this year (it's my first official shot at this) but I'm excited to see what can come out of it! I LOVE the ideas on this forum!

I thought I posted this somewhere, but i'm doing vegan dinner and a movie again, but not just horror movies! There's lots of 80's and comedies and titty movies. Some of them are ALL THREE.

I'm pretty sure this is my first year with a theme. I'm overwhelmed already! :)
Everything I make/post will have pumpkin or winter squash in it. I love the fall!

The plan is to do my themes by the week.
Week 1 is the Magic Muffin Generator - my work colleagues have submitted ideas for flavour combinations. I will bake a batch each day. Week 2 is the week of mash themed meals - potatoes, sweet potatoes, root veg - you name it we'll mash it Week 3 is the week of sweet making where I shall attempt to make truffles, peppermint creams, nut brittle, Turkish delight and cinder toffee. I have ordered a sugar thermometer Week 4 after all the sweets is a bit of damage limitation using food to create beauty treatments Week 5 is cocktails - inspired by favourite vegan recipes

I'm keeping mine simple: Cooking vegan as a family. The interplay between vegan and omnivore - making meals that are designed to entice those omnis!
