OK, sorry for bringing bad news, but we've had a couple of light frosts already and I'm sure a hard one is soon to follow.
I still have tons of Swiss chard and kale in the garden and to be honest I'm sick and tired of eating it now.
I'm sure I'll be craving it in the winter. While I don't like frozen greens it would be a shame to let it go to waste.
How do you freeze it, a quick blanch? Or can you freeze kale as is?
The kale can be used for smoothies for sure, I'm not sure how good it would be cooked out of the freezer.
Any advice?

Where do you live? Kale will survive hard frosts and will taste a lot sweeter once you've had a few! Once the weather stays consistently below freezing, kale will stop growing and the foliage may die, but unless you live in a super cold climate it will come back strong in the spring. Swiss chard is also somewhat cold tolerant - light/medium frosts shouldn't bother it.

Freezing: You need to blanch it first or it will be inedible when thawed. I'd use it in stews, lasagna and other casseroles.
