I don't know about you all, but I hate entering captchas every time I leave a comment (they're so darn hard to read sometimes!), so I've turned off word verification for the month on my blog. It'd be swell if others did so as well. 'course if you don't want to, that's fine too!

I (reluctantly) did the same. So much spam! But also, comments!

I'll do what I can. So far I've been to 6 blogs and 3 of them have not had an entry for today. Poop!

I left 4 comments and visited 8 blogs. Again, half had not updated their blogs.

Yes, please please please ditch the captchas. I have a visual impairment and it's actually kind of upsetting to me when I can't comment on people's blogs because I can't read the stupid garbled letters. The "audio" options are just as bad, and I don't have any sort of hearing impairment at all, so that can't possibly be a reasonable alternative.

I usually set a 3-5 goal for leaving blog comments, because otherwise I would just spend allllllll day commenting on people's blogs, instead of cooking ;-) But usually I do more than that anyway. I just get so excited about everyone's stuff! I'm so excited already and it's only day one! Vegan food bloggers are the best people in the whole world.

Ok, I made it through five and I agree completely that captcha is a monster. But I will prevail and sprinkle the MoFo world with my comments!

I got through a few comments, but there are SO many blogs and I was trying to stick to things that genuinely caught my eye. I'll try to make up tomorrow, but I must go to bed. I wish MoFo was during my school break!

I try to comment a lot, even though most of them will be short. On some posts I try to write a longer comment though. I figure it's better to write short than not at all. I also feel more prone to commenting on those posts that have very few or no comments at all rather then the more "popular" posts.

So the ones that I have to use my google account to comment with don't show up and don't say anything about awaiting moderation. Have I once again proven myself unable to master even the simplest of technologies?

I've been commenting too.
I really can't remove my captcha Mine is a super easy one (not scrambled or anything). My blog is on some list and I'll get like 200 comments in an hour of super vulgar stuff. so, an easy captcha is my compromise.

Of course, I'm using randomofo.com to comment like crazy on at least 10 different blogs. I can't believe there are over 600 blogs this year! whew!

that sucks! i noticed the veganmofo blog is getting spam comments by the hour, too. i don't understand how that works. my blog gets like three comments a week at most.

I get about ten to twenty a day. Manageable, but annoying. Also, if anyone needs an Hermes bag or some Ugg boots, apparently I can hook you up.

Yup, I've been commenting from day 1 too! Without captchas I could do more... :( I love my Wordpress - no captchas and a great spam filter!!
