General idea I'm getting:

Obama: "Mitt Romney's plan is going to do xyz" / "Romney said xyz"
Romney: "My plan is not going to do that / I never said that"

Pretty much. But I would add that Romney is probably making good sense to his target audience.

Why don't we focus on making all schools good? If we were to "grade" each school, it'd just be more child left behind bullshiitake and more educational inequality.

i don't understand how mitt can advocate for pouring tons of money into new businesses and domestic job creation and then slam federal funding of an all-new green energy sector in the same breath.

I cannot believe that Romney has now said 2x that he is able to reach across the aisle and be a bipartisan, collaborative president, unlike Obama. Does he not remember the "Party of No."

romney was a successful republican governor with an 87% democratic state senate (his number) because he told the democrats he wanted everything they wanted. bipartisan? i mean, even technically, in a dictionary sense, is that bipartisan?

I think he makes sense to the GOP base, but I hope that swing voters see him as being an insincere dickwad.

That said, I think Mitt Romney won because the bar was so low given all his gaffes in the earlier few days. He may have lied and been disingenuous and thrown around a ton of platitudes with no details, but he didn't screw the pooch.

I wish Obama had hit him with a 47% joke.

Romney is saying all the right things. But it so easy to say vague things with no details to back them up.

Well, we've got three more debates. I'm hoping Obama can get it together.

They keep saying Romney's answers were very specific . . . I don't think I agree with that.

But that's pretty much American politics. That's what people go for. That's how Obama won his first term. Hope! He hit the right emotional button at the right time. He didn't hit that at all in the closing argument. This country elected G. W. Bush twice. A lot of people are not voting for an educated and informed candidate. If you're sweatin' like Nixon you're in trouble.

The VP debates are next. Bring it Biden! Oh God.

I think Mr. Burns Romney did very well. Yes, Thurston Howell Romney was a little peevish, but he was confident and took it to Obama. I definitely think Midas Romney won the debate.

I'm starting to think that Republicans just don't know what words mean.

I look forward to hearing more of Biden's train stories. I also look forward to at least one politician who is allergic to filters.
