I don't think I have to! (Mind you, I probably will, since I have 5 tests that are expiring in January.) My temps are still up and my boobs were a teeny bit sore a few days ago. I googled the shiitake about temp-dropping during very early pregnancy and one-off temp drops are fairly normal. And based on all the anecdotal evidence I read, for chemical pregnancies and very early miscarriages, positive pregnancy test results get fainter and fainter as time goes on and mine was definitely darker on Sunday than it was on Friday. If morning sickness hits, I'll probably feel a lot more reassured (while vomiting and hating how everything smells), but it's definitely sticking for the moment.
Also, it already has a nickname -- I explained I was trying to grow a baby to Beetroot after he kicked the shiitake out of my stomach. He declared it is a boy because I can only have boys and it will be called Vax. He also insists Vax likes to get the shiitake kicked out of him and that Vax will not get crushed in the process.
So, fingers crossed. And thanks to everybody for the sticky wishes.

Yay Crabby! TheCrabbyCrafter wrote: If morning sickness hits, I'll probably feel a lot more reassured (while vomiting and hating how everything smells), but it's definitely sticking for the moment. Ha. I'm waiting for the morning sickness to hit too. I keep feeling ok, then I get worried, then I get a wave of cramps or Ada latches on and hurts my nipples and I get some reassurance. My morning sickness hit with Ada at six weeks. So we'll see next week if I get it this time!

my acupuncturist sent me some info when we were trying to conceive and apparently you are supposed to eat pineapple after potential implantation.
do with this info what you like but here is a snippet:
• Now is the time to get your fill of pineapple. The bromelain it contains has been shown to help implantation.
not sure how they test these things......

Congratulations Crabby and Sashi!
We are officially "trying" this month. We're not going to be very precise about it, because I'm not really sure what my cycles are doing (just got an IUD out a month ago, bled for three days, then had what seemed like a period 2.5 weeks later). Walter's still nursing 3-4 times/day, so I can't be sure if I'm even ovulating every month. If I have to I'll start tracking my waking temps, but for now I'm too lazy.

Mitten, check your cervical fluid and cervix -- that's the easiest way to tell when you're fertile and way less hassle than temping. Peeing on fertility strips helps, too, and is easy (you can get big cheap bundles on amazon), but all you really need (until you get desperate like me) is to check your cervical fluid (that's all I did for Beety and Raygold). Tofulish wrote: VAX THE UNCRUSHABLE!!!!!!! I loled out loud at that! ;D And LisaPunk, pineapple, eh? I just went grocery shopping, but I'll try to get some when we go shopping next week. It's worth a try (I'd dance naked under the full moon if I thought it might help)!

Yeah, I'm keeping an eye on the tell-tale cervical fluid. If it takes a few months it'll be fine with me (the husband seems to find this whole procreative aspect extra...motivating. So I'll enjoy that).

This thread is so exciting! Holy crepe.
We are talking about trying for a second soon (December? November? eep!) and I'm getting so excited. I finally got my period back last month, but Inez still nurses a lot so I'm wondering how it's going to go. I'm kind of half-assedly monitoring stuff and I put a fertility app on my phone. shiitake is getting real!

Seriously mooo, I think you owe it to the world to create baby #2, heh, Scarlett is one cutie-pie!
Yay CC! Vax is an awesome nickname! (is it weird that I sorta think it's an awesome *real* name?)
That's weird about bromelain/pineapple helping implantation because it's also one of the things that supposed to help soften the cervix and get labor/delivery moving. My big-ass 42 week pregnant self getting strange looks from the like 16 year old produce clerk while buying 4 pineapples at the grocery store = a moment I will not soon forget.

I think Vax is an awesome real name, too. My husband figured out where Beetroot got it -- our vacuum cleaner is a Vax! If this is a boy, we already have a name and it's just as outrageous as my other boys' names. Boy names are so easy for us. But if it's a girl, we're doomed. My husband and I can't agree on anything and never have! Of course, Beety says it's a boy, so maybe we're off the hook. ;p
I love your buying 4 pineapples story!

Still not pregnant. My temp dropped this morning and I just started bleeding so it looks like my luteal phase was a whopping 7 days this cycle.
