I hope nobody minds if I put a shameless promotion here in case there are any San Diego lurkers.

I'm trying to get a SD playgroup started for veg*n kids/babies and our first meetup is tomorrow!

I'm hoping to meet some other vegan parents and babies as well as trying to create a way for toddlers to be toddlers without having to constantly police food or worry about my kid being left out.

theres a meetup potluck in balboa park tomorrow (saturday 6th)

I was afraid it'd be conflicting with other things (not exactly, the playgroup meetup is at 10am), but last week was the street fair cluster, and I wanted to pick a date/time that wouldn't rule out people who worked and such. It seems like every single weekend I have some reason not to do it, and finally just said "self, schedule something!"

I also need to go check in on the San Diego thread in the Square and see if IDJI is still in town - we were really sick, and then we had a couple of super busy weeks, and then the baby got sick again, and I have totally been dropping the ball on life.

I have a friend with a baby! I'll let her know about it.

I'm totally not still in town, but I will be again. i had a lot of family stuff going on when I was home and it was hard to make other plans. (also, i'm really bad at making plans)

Man, I miss Balboa Park.

I'm in that meetup group, but unfortunately with a baby and my partner's working situation (namely: he's always working), I can't realistically make it to most of their stuff. Maybe once I find a reliable babysitter, but my inner tightwad groans at adding an extra $50+ just to step out of the house alone.
