Ok, so, this isn't food porn exactly because i took a picture while my roommate was out of the room. and i'm sure no one wants to see this because it's not vegan (there's meat, etc, in this.)

But i figured it's both gross and a VERY GOOD REMINDER to not let anyone else ever touch your beloved slow cooker

he tried to repurpose meat from shish kabobs that came out super tough by putting it in a 'stew' that consisted of.... the meat, THREE CUPS OF RICE (forkin shiitake man), a jar of spaghetti sauce, an onion that he didn't saute first and a bunch of water. he also kept stirring it throughout the day (seriously, do they not teach making rice in school?). it smelled soo gross.

That doesn't look bad, and now that I know it's cake soaked in coffee, it looks delicious. But you could put anything next to a picture of Emily Haines and I'd still say it was awesome.

I was searching for food ideas when I came across this thread. I couldn't stop laughing. Anyway, I thought I'd offer my contribution?

This was non-meatloaf for Christmas dinner one year. I really did try to make this pic look delicious and "festive" (see!? Gingerbread house in the background!) It really didn't do too much for anyone at all appearance-wise, but at least it was delicious! (meatloaf and good gravy recipe from Vegan Planet)

Aw, thanks, Olives. And yet, it had a colleague of mine saying "Eeuw! What is that?" when he saw the picture on my phone. I think it was the shiny nipple-like globs of lingonberry jam on the rosti that really threw him.
