I'm knitting for the first time since learning how to crochet. I forgot how much slower it is XD
I also bought some Starbella yarn, which feels very weird to knit. And it also feels like I'm cheating.

Anybody have any advice to sewing up seams when knitting? I made this project http://www.ravelry.com/projects/CDMacZane/dog-sweater and I'm really happy with it except for that darned seam. I've watched countless youtube videos to no avail. I think it's maybe because the stitches at the end of the rows are kind of sloppy?

Getting back into knitting after a long hiatus of being overworked, in grad school and depressed last year. I forgot how much I enjoy just sitting down with a project and listening to a few podcasts! Heaven. I started with something simple to use up some light blue yarn. It's fingering weight and bamboo. I used it for a few baby projects for a friend, but had some left over. I wish I was confident to buy nice yarn for a garment project, but I'm still nervous I'll fork it up and waste the yarn. Hopefully I'll get over that. This is the pattern on ravelry: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/botanical-cowl

It's needle work season again!
(We're all on the settee together: I am crocheting an infinite scarf in a wonderful colour of blue and my special lady friend is reading Dykes To Watch Out For with my cat napping on her back. Autumn isn't too bad.)

I've got a million other things to do, but of course I had to start a stripy scarf made exclusively from leftover yarn. Yarn weights differ a bit, but I guess it will look okay when it's done. :)

I'm working on combining a white cotton summer dress and a short sleeved blouse into a Lolita dress for Halloween. I'm going through lots of online tutorials choosing which elements of Lolita style I want, making silhouette sketches and have already bought some broderie trim for it.

Look at the beautiful sweater Maygles made for my daughter Scarlett! What a lucky baby! She won't stop kicking her legs with excitement when she's wearing it, so I couldn't get a picture that wasn't a little blurry.

I have this medium weight denim fabric, should I use my regular fabric scissors or do I need something more heavy duty? I don't want to ruin my scissors!

This is the skirt for my Halloween costume. I decided not to put the broderie on it as it's going to end up blood stained: And here is another skirt I made. It's the same pattern but without the ruffle on the hem:

Wow! You are all so amazingly talented! I just found this topic today - where have all of you been all my life?! :D
I don't have time to post any of my stuff right now, but I am MoniDew at Ravelry, too, for those of you who might want to check it out.
By the way; I love all of the Jayne hats! Shiny!
