This show snuck up on me. I wasn't that into it when I first watched it, but now that I have to wait every week, I'm pretty bummed.

I feel crazy, because HELLO grown woman over here, not a 15 year old girl, but I've only ever shipped one pairing this hard before (Spike and Buffy, mostly after he gets his soul).

I am having shipper squees like a mother hubbard over here. My husband is sooooo tired of hearing about Dean and Cas being in love, so it's nice to talk to someone who gets it.

Is your non-canon pairing also an angel and a hunter? Because If it is, I gotta say I don't understand that one, but I respect those who ship it.

I try to only talk about it with people who like Supernatural as well.

And yes, it is. My friend posted some fan art and it was all over for me. There are some pretty good essays/whatever that kind of explain why people ship them and they all say exactly what I would say but better. :) I do however understand that it will never be canon. Sad, but true! Dean & Castiel, however, it always seems like they're toeing that line on the show!!

Do you have links to those essays, or should I just google? And the husband likes Supernatural, he's just not a shipper and I don't think he fully gets my obsession.

I got so caught up in my shipper nonsense that I forgot to ask if anyone else thought Samandriel was the most adorable little angel ever. I want him to recur on the show for sure, not just because he's adorable, but also because it was great seeing Dean be such a smart asparagus to him like he is to other angels, but instead of getting surly Samandriel stayed serene.

Plus he was the bug collector kid way back in season 1.

Oh! And tonight's ep is directed by Jensen Ackles, and I guess his dad is going to be in it (real dad, not Winchester dad). So that's super cool.

Now I have to go find the episode with the bug collector kid. Someone needs to write fanfic about that. There are some good essays on tumblr and I've got one or two bookmarked at home/could find them but tumblr is blocked at work for me.

I think a particularly favorite moment is that in the Season 2 episode, when being told from Sam's perspective, the expressions/body language/tone of voice between the two can be interpreted as flirting and it exploded from there.

Really? I think Jensen looks sort of orange this season, like he got attacked by the spray tan fairy. And I think Jensen is one of the prettiest men to ever exist.
