A guy flirted with me while I was getting coffee at work. I was the picture of beauty: covered in nasty food bits in my apron and blue work shirt, bandanna covering my unbrushed hair, no make up. It's when you don't try so hard that things happen sometimes.

Yay Tea!
My best thing was coming home and tending to all the fermenting babies at my house. Currently I've got kombucha, kefir, and kimchi on the go, and all of them are pretty much ready to eat/drink now! So exciting. I've just been sipping on my first soymilk kefir, and it's... interesting? I think it might be nice in smoothies and stuff, or maybe on muesli. (Anyone got any suggestions?)

My Halloween wig arrived. It resembles Sadako's hair rather well!

After three years of giving up veganism, I am rethinking my ethics and have decided that I am no longer comfortable eating pork, beef, or chicken. I'm still comfortable with fish, though, and am unsure as to whether or not I will want to give up milk or eggs entirely. But in the least, it's a start.

I had an amazing meeting with my green team and we've decided to do a little blog for world vegan day! One of my newbies is going to talk about what she feeds her little girl and we're going to share recipes and little interviews about why they went vegan, and challenge the rest of the team to try it. I forking love this job!
(aaaaaand my new/old boyfriend is coming up tomorrow. Double happy).

Checking my bank account and realizing I've actually been way smarter with money lately than I thought I've been.

Me and two friends shared a stall at the local farmers market, and I sold double chocolate cupcakes, coconut macarons and marbled banana bread. The girl who's there weekly runs a coffee machine and my other (non-vegan) friend sold vegan pumpkin soup and chai lattes. It was fun doing it with the bunch of us, and we're dreaming of expanding the amount of stuff we sell and becoming a regular fixture with a stall on the weekly farmers market. :)
The only annoying thing were a few naggy people who tried to make me feel like a bad person for selling vegan things, which weren't gluten and/or sugarfree as well. Since when is that a rule?

After a shitty interaction that almost made me cry, I went to sweet action to get an ice cream cone and was made doubly happy by the presence of the vegan van. I was able to eat a yummy sandwich before my ultra-delicious ice cream, so I did not get sick to my stomach!

I did a two mile hike with my youngest. (Sure it doesn't sound like much...but I have a stupid foot injury) It was raining and so so beautiful there.

I took a number anyway, saw that they were 20 numbers away, and decided to do my grocery shopping (nonperishables) as I waited. I finished, dropped my food off in my trunk, and went back into the DMV. They were about 4 numbers away from mine. Instead of waiting forever, I waited only a few minutes. AND I got the best driver's license picture I've had so far! Then I went into the liquor store and found chocolate wine.

Went on a motorcycle ride to a new-to-me Trader Joe's (I was out of sugar, perfect excuse to go for a ride!). Riding back into Boston at sunset was absolutely beautiful. And I got to use my fastlane toll thingy, which still provides me much joy and amusement for no good reason.

I went to the Farmer's Market and then met a friend at an Arts & Crafts Fair. She was lovely and we hung out with her friend for a bit. Just as they left, Ariann texted me that they were coming to the park two, so I ended up with 2 amazing playdates. So fun. So so so fun. Cold but sunny. Man, I am going to miss the outdoors fun times once winter starts.

I finally sewed some curtains and hung them up in our bedroom. We've lived in this house since July with no curtains in our room! Ah, privacy. Also I cleaned up the kitchen and our house looks nice and I'm sitting on the couch wrapped up in a blanket with no plans to move until Austin gets home from work and we can go grocery shopping. Huzzah.

My mom went to a fundraiser for a local pit bull rescue and they had lots of vegan baked goods, so she is bringing a bunch home for me! She said there were a lots of vegans there, and they had vegan raffle items. She won a gift certificate for vegan makeup (don't know what brand) so she was excited about that. Yay vegan stuff!

Yesterday I went on a day trip with the kid (saw some friends, had a great time) and apparently my husband spent the whole day cleaning our flat. All day today (It's 3.30 pm here) I've been opening cupboard doors, looking in corners etc and going "Wow! This place is c l e a n!"
