Okay. At work, I can see them. So it must be something I did to my laptop. I hope it's not the adblocker or something.

You said it only happens in food porn right, so maybe its something blocking porn? Computers are swell but they are very literal, esp when it comes to firewalls and filters. Try turning off your adblocker real quick and see that fixes it, then you know what needs to be tweaked.

Did that last night, some pics still don't show up.
And it's things like poopiebitch's hairstyle and stuff, so it can't be a prOn misunderstanding.
Why, Archie (=my laptop), whyyyyy?

Uuuugh. So I downloaded the paint.net thing and it put something called fliptoast on my computer. I deleted the program, but there is still a toast icon left on the right side of my screen. I can't click it and I can only drag it up and down through part of the screen. As much as I like toast, does anyone know how I can get rid of this icon? I've Googled around and haven't found anything.

um still need help here. I have photos saved on photobucket. I tried resizing them with the photobucket editor, but it doesn't like me and every time i try to save it, I get an error message. Should I resize on my computer and then just upload the right size to photobucket to add here?

never mind, I found how to set photbucket's setting so it automatically adjusts what I upload. Guess I need an avatar now.

It looks like Flickr (at least the free version) has changed the way you can repost pictures from their site. You used to be able to grab a link ending in jpg by selecting a size and right clicking. Now you have to go to the "Share" button and if you grab the link you get one with out the "jpg"suffix and the boards can't determine the dimensions.

It looks like the link with the jpg suffix is under the HTML/BBCode option in the Share menu.

Yep, that's the right one. If you don't want the file name and the link to your Flickr account to show up, you can delete everything that isn't between the [img] tags.
Image (sorry, that was just the first picture in my account)

Thanks! Yes, and I guess you don't have to put in the [img] tags any longer.

Argh, so frustrated! I post pics from photobucket all the time and mostly it goes fine. Every now and then I resize a photo over there so it says it's (for example) 300 pixels wide x 180 pixels or whatever. But when I paste the url over here I can't post it because it says "Your image cannot be more than 800 pixels wide." Well as far as I can tell, it isn't! I have a pic pared down to a tiny size on photobucket and I've been trying to post it for the last half hour. I got it to where it would preview (but it was huge, like way, WAY bigger than photobucket is showing it) and then I added text and got the too big message again. I trimmed it down further, was able to preview it again (still stupidly huge) but when I hit submit without adding text, got the error message again. What am I doing wrong? Or what is photobucket doing wrong? Or what is the PPK post editor doing wrong? I just want to post my rainbow nails in the nail polish challenge thread!

I have no answers for you, monkeytoes, but I've had the same problem with resizing/posting pictures from photobucket, so I'll be watching this thread.

I don't know how photobucket handles images, but if I had to hazard a guess, I'd say they're probably not actually resizing the image but giving you a URL to an image that's dynamically resized based on the URL. I bet if you put that URL into a browser, it'll open just fine at the correct size, but something in the way the forum software fetches the image dimensions is causing Photobucket to report back the actual dimensions and not the resized dimensions.

So I see two options. Resize the image in an editor before uploading it to Photobucket, or choose a different image host. I guess maybe Photobucket changed something because I don't recall having these problems in the past. I've been using Imgur and Flickr lately without problems.

I use imgur for pictures where I don't necessarily want my actual name linked to what I'm putting there. It has a pretty simple interface and gives you copyable BBcode for forums and stuff, and there's easy resizing and so on.

It also doesn't have the weird speed issues you sometimes run into with directly linking to flickr images.
