Used it to find a pancake batter for breakfast this morning. I'm becoming such a pancake addict.

Very convenient to have both combined! http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/2005/12/blogs-i-like-veg-blog-search.htmlI got the link from Susan's blog a while back, can't say enough about Fat Free Vegan as a tremendous resource for me. Another resource that I haven't seen referenced in the Trader Joe thread is vegan produce list that Trader Joe provides on their website. I probably just missed it being discussed, but just in case I'm not the only one here's the link to the printer friendly PDF. http://www.traderjoes.com/pdf/lists/list-vegan.pdf

Yep! I have used that site before! very handy.
Also, I find that Pinterest (now that they are open-invite) is SUCH a good resouce for finding recipes. And almost all of the pins/recipes have led me to some amazing blogs! I love to pin and give the blogger more exposure as well.
Not to mention that Pinterest has pretty much replaced bookmarking for me (for crochet patterns and crafts too), since they all have pictures, and I work off of like 3 different computers a day.

i also found http://www.veganblogs.org/ (it's better as a browsing assistant, the search isn't all that great, but it might just be because there aren't a ton of blogs in the database) also, http://www.vegblogs.com/ (but they don't have a search function, it's all about browsing recent posts. the "favorites" vs. "friends" columns are a little confusing.) and finally http://veganism.collected.info/ (but again, it's not searchable. it's just an aggregator.)

oh, chicki. i thought pinterest was only images. you can use text? (and search only vegan recipes without having to use "vegan" in the search terms and find recipes via ingredient?)

(and search only vegan recipes without having to use "vegan" in the search terms and find recipes via ingredient?) Yeah, you can do terms for searching. For example, I just typed in 'vegan pizza' and got a TON of results, both for pins and for boards. it used to be really terrible as a search engine, but now that it is 'public' (that is, you don't need an invite) there are so many more people using it, and adding descriptions to their pins, it works much better. It gets better every week. But yeah, you do have to use the word 'vegan' in there. Or at least, I always do.

If you do a Google search for a recipe, it's always worth finding the "Translated foreign pages" link on the left (under "Show search tools") and clicking on it. Rather than just search English site, it also searches foreign language sites and google translates it for you, giving you an extra tumpty-thousand results. You never know whether the best jambalaya recipe in the world was only ever written in Japanese!

I can't get it to work with Google Recipes. I use Google Recipes because I can include or exclude ingredients. Sure, I can use + and - with search terms...
