Ugh. Sinuses... stop doing whatever this is. Uggggggh

That's not what I want to hear! I'm a musician! I need my hearing!

I've been having more and more frequent bouts of colicky stomach pains over the last couple of years that I put down to latex food allergy, but this Sunday was awoken at 3.30am by really bad stomach pains that went on for six hours, sulphur burps and vomiting. I've had stomach problems for as long as I can remember but they've been greatly diminished by eliminating animal products from my diet. The pain, bloating, gas, nausea, diarrhea, headaches, anxiety, fatigue and acid indigestion has me wondering if it's a more serious allergy or an infection of some sort. I'm seeing the doctor next Wednesday about it.

I ssoooo don't have time for this.
I am definitely sick. I got up at 5 this morning for work, got out at noon and passed out until 4pm, now I am just a mess, my throat i jut constant pain. I've got to have tea constantly in my throat to make it feel like anything other than sandpaper. I really need to go in to the studio tonight but there is no way that's happening, I got dizzy trying to walk to the kitchen to get more tea. blergghhh.
I REALLY REALLY DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THIS.
I'm working 50hrs/week and going to school full-time and I just can't be sick!

I have a sort of funny story! I've had a sore throat and swollen tonsils for a week so i was worried that I had strep. I went into the university clinic and the pa took a swab but didn't think I had strep because it's rare in adults. Instead, she suggested I might have oral gonorrhea or foot and mouth disease. What???? I guess I might understand the oral std since we are on a college campus and stds are a big deal, but foot and mouth? That's even more rare than strep throat!!

Seriously, I just had a raw throat. Nothing crazy looking!

I think I'm starting to get sniffles. The kicker is, I'm pretty sure I got them from smooching my crush, so I'm hard pressed to be particularly unhappy about it.

I'm 35. I had a tube in my ear (yes, like a toddler) for the last 4 years due to a really bad ear infection. The tube finally worked its way out this month. So what have I got? Another goddamned ear infection! What is wrong with me??? On antibiotics and hoping they clear it up :/ Also have a flu/cold/allergies who knows what making it all worse.

ALL I WANT IN LIFE IS TO BE ABLE TO CLOSE MY MOUTH AND NOT SUFFOCATE.

(I am REALLY bad at being ill, I turn in to a whiny child like, instantly)

Have this annoying cough. Worse at night and in the morning. So I always get psyched out midday thinking I'm kicking it.

I'm not sick enough to justify not working, but I've been losing my voice for the past...month? It's getting a tad irritating when I have to talk all day.

Going on week 3 of the cold-cough and sore throat-no voice. It gets better, comes back again, repeat.

Finally broke down and went to the walk in clinic. Advised it is viral and will need to resolve on its own.

More licorice tea and agave.

For viral shiitake, I find sweating it out helps the best. If you have anything wool left over (yeah, not vegan) I'd suggest wearing that to bed or at least putting it on top of yourself. Make yourself just slightly too warm.

(be advised I'm just a douche on the interwebs, I could be totally off base here; but it really feels like it helps for me)

Mars, you are brilliant !! Great advice. I went and had a sauna for 45 minutes. I'm still sick but can breathe better and the annoying scratchy throat as totally stopped. I may actually get a good sleep for the first time in weeks. <3 and thanks from the Northern Ontairo forest !

The past 2-3 weeks:
Got food poisoning. Got better.
Got food poisoning again. Got better.
Got a cold. Got better.

Now? I think I have a sinus infection. Come ON.

i got sick friday, right before my very favorite evening of autumn (cultural night, happens once a year, it's a BIG DEAL) and have been sick ever since. currently on day 5, of being sick, which collides perfectly with my autumn break. i was supposed to do a ton of stuff, like working on three different assignments, one of which is a pretty big 15 pgs paper, but my head is heavy and i just want to sleep. i was also supposed to go help my friend clean (she's got a chronic muscle disease) but not gonna happen today. i just really really want something to happen so i don't feel like crepe anymore.

The cold continues to be at a low level. The generic sore throat that doesn't go away and is clearly going to become something unpleasant in the near future.. I just have to make it until Thursday.

I hate low level colds. I had one for nearly a month. You kind of just feel crappy, expecting it to get worse but then it doesn't. I'm not sure if they are allergies and although I am someone who has always been prone to colds, I never had allergies until I moved from California. I think I get allergies here but can't quite tell and think it is the few low level colds I get each year. Change of weather really messes me up which is why I think it might be allergies? Or I'm not sure.

This cough is so persistent... Fine during the day (slight sore throat)... can hardly take a full breath in at all during night and morning.

I'm here to whinge about my sore throat, it's one of those sore throats where it's bright red and it hurts to swallow and talk :/ I kept waking up during the night and it feels 100x worse today :( I've gargled with warm, salty water a few times but I think I need some iodine gargle, stat

Stupid cold. Go die.

Trying to decide if I'll go to work tomorrow. Blah.

this sounds like what livi has! i sent her off to school yesterday because she seemed fine and when i picked her up she was a hacking mess. this is after being fine for awhile and then randomly that night cough - i hate that cough so much! what makes you feel better?
