Biden's subtext: Paul Ryan is a punk. I was in the room when shiitake went down!

I'm halfway through the first one, but Jesus effing Christ, Romney is such a bully. I needed to get that off my chest.

Biden owned on foreign policy. Too bad that happened so early in the debate. And Ryan's closing speech was SO practiced in the mirror countless times. The facial expressions, the pauses. Biden's on the other hand seemed totally off the cuff. I think he was actually playing with his pen for part of it. Good debate all in all. I think Biden won this one, but Ryan did a damn good job at being cautious and side-stepping questions (where's the friggin deets on the taxes, bro?).

The presidential debates are painful to watch. I enjoy watching the vp debates, and just cringe during the presidential ones. We don't need more coal plants Romney! Energy independence in 8 years by drilling more in North America? Right!

No, Obama, don't insist that we're doing more drilling. That's not a good thing. edit: can we talk about solar power? wind power? hydroelectric power?
edit: good lard, Romney's being an asparagus tonight.
edit: way to go, Candy! Put him in his place!

Oh giddy, Romney is gonna cap my deductions at some arbitrary number costing me thousands but he's gonna let me go tax free on that $50 I made in interest with my savings account all year! Because that's what the middle class needs, no taxes on the bajillions of dollars they have in capital gains and savings interest; they can totally forgo all those deductions.

Romney answered nothing about women getting equal pay. And he's way over time.

Seriously, I am not rich by any stretch of the imagination, but last year...even before we had our first kid, we had nearly double Romney's arbitrary $25k number in deductions (not loopholes, standard deductions)...maybe he's just spitballing but that is a ridiculously stupidly low number to throw out there. Cutting our deductions by $20-25k would have cost us at least $3k...but we wouldn't have to pay taxes on the whopping .5% I made on my savings all year! Jackpot!

It wasn't possible for us to be energy independent during the Bush years? WE'VE ALWAYS HAD SUN and WE'VE ALWAYS HAD WIND.
