So glad to hear you're doing okay! This sounds like a nightmare. I hope you get well soon and have a TV-filled recovery at your bf's place. :)

holy crepe, that's some serious shiitake. Glad to hear you're on the mend.

What is it with operations and punctured bowels these days? If I had a dollar for every they-punctured-my-bowel story I've heard in recent times, I'd have... well I'd have about four dollars. But that's still a lot of unnecessary bowel puncturing. I hope you continue to feel better :)

So glad you made it through AmandaBear! I hope insurance doesn't give you shiitake for this or try and penalize you on your rate since this is totally the hospital's fault.

The whole ordeal sounds horrible. I'm happy for you to get to leave the hospital though. Hospitals are crappy places to spent any long amount of time.

Baby owl! So cute. Thank you guys, PPKers are so lovely. I'm home from the hospital, which is great. I still feel like garbage and probably will for quite some time but at least I can feel crappy on the couch instead of in a hospital bed. I'm on some heinous medication that I would not wish on my worst enemy (seriously, it's like the antibiotic they give you when they want to KILL EVERYTHING) for another 3 weeks and the doctors estimate about 2 more months until my incision is fully healed, so there's a long way to go, but it's still good to be home. Or rather, at my boyfriend's place, which might as well be home.

Tomorrow we're bringing my cat over to stay, since I'm planning to be here indefinitely - wish me good kitty introduction skills, since he has one too. No catfights, all cuddles is what I'm hoping for, but we'll see how that goes.

The kitties have landed and their introduction has been way better than I ever expected. They're yowling at each other a bit, but no one's getting catfighty or anything. So far, so good!
