I don't feel that Su Tao Cafe get's a lot of love among the Philly Vegan crowd. (Although I could be wrong since I'm not in with the crowd) I know it's way outside the city for all you Center City folks but for us Suburbanite's it's fantastic (Plus we don't have to pay to park)!
Here's my favorite's:
Dim Sum: Spring Rolls Steamed Vegetable Buns Fried Shrimp
Soup: House Special Wonton Soup
Entree's: Sizzling Beef Meat Lovers Delight In the Forest Double Cooked Spicy Chicken Treasure Island Crispy Shrimps Forever Young
Noodles and Rice: Veggie Ham Fried Rice House Special Lomein
Any other Su Tao fans out there?

I went to Su Tao once a few years ago and I thought it was great! I really want to go back. I tried the buffet and was impressed by the variety of interesting dishes. Definitely worth the trip outside the city; this place is not "just another Chinese restaurant." The only thing is, some of the store-bought desserts at the buffet and probably a few other things weren't vegan..and that made me worry about how vegan it really is. :(

I went to boarding school pretty close to Malvern for a year and was so so thrilled when the librarian took me here. I brought my mom the next time she came to visit me and I want to go back so bad!!

I'm there every few months. Good food. The desserts have a sign saying they're vegan... maybe they changed something?

That means you're from my neck of the woods! I moved to the area two months ago, and was thrilled to find this place.

Love it. We went there around Halloween and they served a special extra buffet and it was amazing. Chester county vegans! Ohmigod!

I went there once and enjoyed it. I'm in Delaware County so it's not terribly far, but I still don't get out there. I'd like to go again.

I went to Su Tao for dinner the other day. I had some great dishes, including eggplant, steamed dumplings with shredded chicken, curry chicken, general tso's chicken, vegetable lo mein, spring rolls (really good!), green beans, pepper steak, and maybe one or two more things. I tried one of the desserts, but it was sickeningly sweet. It was $13 (not including tip). A little overpriced, in my opinion. I'd say it is "worth" $10, but I'm sure it's a steal if you like to eat lots and lots of food at once..
ETA- The dessert I tried was the peach pie and it was labeled like this: "peach pie (vegan)." The other desserts weren't labeled. I imagine they were vegan as well?

I took a visiting friend here yesterday and she loved it! She tried almost everything from the buffet!

My partner and I have been going to Su Tao for at least 10 years on an almost weekly basis and it is is the BEST! Besides our special occasion visits to Horizons, it is our favorite. The owners and waitstaff are awesome and the food is diverse and oh so yummy! We always get the buffet and are never disappointed.
EVERYTHING in the restaurant is vegan, including the desserts.

They had extra pie and candy near the dessert table still in the packaging, and some of it was definitely not vegan. I pointed it out to owner and he said it was bought by accident and took it away.
