I'm glad it's over. I get disgustingly weepy sometimes, and this was one of those times. And the backache was pretty bad this time- all the standing during work helped to stiffen it. Periods, man.

I started tearing up when I saw a print a friend of mine did on the racks. WAY emotional.
like, the print itself wasn't even that exciting, just honest
srs emotional ridiculousness happening.

I hate that my period can think of the worst possible timing to start. Like, couldn't you start on monday and be done by friday when I have a party? Nooo, you had to wait until wednesday so I will be in the middle of it during the party. Fork.

Yeah...I want all of the salty fried things. Especially with all of the chocolate. All of it! Ugh. Also, timing...wearing a white dress this weekend for halloween. Boo.

4 days early. Not awesome. At least the cramps are a bit less now, but the nausea could go away.
And I had to use a tampon at work... I don't usually carry my cup until I'm expecting the period. Tampons are scratchy!

Yuck. I keep mine in my bag just in case. Right now, however, I am just spotty as hell. I can't tell if this is a frealz period or just a spotty-fun-time. I have all the hungry crampy side effects but not all the bleeding...what is happening body?

Merrr....so I got a week of spotting and bloating, then this morning I woke up and was just cranky. Get to work, and suddenly it is like a crime scene in my pants. Jeez. fork. I hate life. and I'm sick on top of it...I have gone home early every day this week so far because I'm sick, and I think I may have to today because I'm getting chills and sweating and think I'm going to die.

For once, my uterus did me right: I just got my period, thus not ruining my good time of handing candy out to kids (which I really like doing for some reason). I would've hated to have been a crampy crab-ass yesterday.

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I didn't want to start a separate thread and I would appreciate thoughts/opinions.

Normally my period is regular as clockwork and lasts about five days. This time I have been bleeding for two weeks straight. I'm 49, so I thought maybe it was the beginning of menopause, but I have had absolutely zero other symptoms. If it doesn't stop soon I will go to the doctor, but I'm a bit worried he will do the "you silly woman, this is perfectly normal at your age" bit, and I will feel like a fool.

Jogirl, go to your doctor to get checked out. I had the same thing about 6yrs ago. Turned out I had a ruptured ovarian cyst. It didn't do any damage but my doctor was complete gobsmacked that I hadn't felt any pain. Turns out I have a super high pain threshold.

I'm such a spotty mess this month. Can't wait til this thing starts and finishes.

I agree with daisychain. If you're worried about your doctor being a jerk about it, time to find a new doctor.

I'm going away for a weekend this coming weekend and I am pretty sure I'm PMSing. I forgot to write down when I put in my damn ring so I just get to wait until I start breakthrough bleeding. I'm going to be crabby if I'm on my period or seriously PMSing next weekend.

My period takes like a full 7-8 days to dwindle and trickle down to finally going away - it is soooo looooooong. Just get it over with already!

I've got cramps starting up and my boobs feel like someone's been punching them in my sleep, but I know I'm starting soon for another reason: I am terribly (forgive my possible TMI) horny. And I kind of wish I was having a baby. This is my new marker for how to tell when I'm going to start. Body? Really? Could you be any weirder?

Ugh, for real, I just had to empty my cup less than halfway through my day at school. What is this.

Guys, I had the weirdest/worst cramp of my life today. I had just gotten to work, was like twenty minutes in, and BAM- my stomach, not the uterusy part but the food part, is all tensed up and stabby. It hurt so bad! It just stayed like that and kept on contracting for about ten minutes, and the whole time I was calculating how long it would take me to sprint to the breakroom because I wasn't sure whether I was going to puke or pass out. Then, just like that, it let up. But now my stomach is sore like I've been doing crunches all day.
