Oh yeah! I think they said that in that ssn 10 episode where Mondo came in on the fabric challenge. I'll give it a go.

i loved the 1st episode from the 2nd season of project runway allstars. i will definitely be tuning in, the last season of regular PR was so darn boring. i can already tell that this season of all stars is going to be good.
not surprised peach was the first to go. i'm baffled by taking tennis wear to evening? what?!

I do not like how All Stars is edited. I did not see much of the design process...

(although a quick google search has told me that she is leaving marie claire....) joanna doesn't exude genuine warmth and concern and mentoring like tim gunn does, but i do respect the fact that she doesn't mince words and tells it like it is.

Didn't joanna do last all stars as well? I actually really like her tough love style.
I feel like they spend more time on the process once there are fewer designer. Plus I guess it's a trade off between giving fair time to everyone and totally ignoring the people who are safe (which drives me crazy partially because it's a total spoiler).

I would never want Joanna to replace Tim completely, but I do like that she is tough in her critiques for the returning designers. I remember from last season she was big on asking the designers about how their designs would work in real life - especially for all the designers that love to put stuff out there that are impossible to wear with bras. I think that the challenges can be tougher on All Stars and I like that too... but really anything that gives me more Project Runway makes me happy.

I love Joanna as the mentor! She gives excellent real-world critiques.
While nobody could ever actually replace Tim, I don't like him as much the past few years as I did in the early days. When the show started, everything he said seemed honest and up front, and now it just feels scripted... as if the producers have written a Tim character who he is now playing. Joanna is still herself.
This may be her last All-Stars, since she's leaving Marie Claire for Cosmo, but I hope not.

I don't think Tim really connected with any of the designers, this seemed especially noticeable when he actually went to visit a few of them in their private homes.

I'm not really liking Joanna as a mentor, but I think this is mainly due to the fact that they edit so much out of the consultations that she has with the designers, and just patch together all these little snarky/negative bits. It just seems like there's way too much edited out for the show overall..I shouldn't be able to tell where there are huge gaps missing!
I didn't really like any that were in the top, but Wendy's really was bad. I didn't think either Ivy's or Uli's were disco. hmmm

they all should have been sent home because there was a lot of fug walking down the runway... andre, suede and wendy were the worse of the worst but the way andre crumples when given a critique..it's like what 7yr would do.
i'm interested to see how the ivy and cassonova relationship plays out since she is his boss.

I loved Kayne's outfit this week though I did think it was more LA than 70s. Ivy's was neither attractive nor disco inspired, I could really not understand at all how she was in the top.
I do think it's interesting seeing how the All Stars have (or haven't) changed as designers! New Uli is like old Uli but everything's white instead of prints!

Dude is nuts. that's why he is one of my faves ;) at least personality wise ;) it's horrible that i can't remember the other guy that was with him on his season, (maybe he even won?!) but those songs that guy sung about andre (and sometimes tim gunn) were freakin' hilarious!
