I meant to say I have the Mitchum unscented clinical strength antiperspirant, the one with the green label. I used Certain Dri a few years ago and it caused painful burning and itchiness. Maybe SweatBlock is vegan, I can't figure it out from their website but it has some good reviews on Amazon.

It simply says, "No." That doesn't mean they haven't had the individual ingredients tested though. It's just clever wording meaning that the actual finished product hasn't been tested. I don't know either way whether Ban tests or not (It's not a UK available product) but I would never trust that wording. If it helps, this is what they told me in Dec 2007 (I apparently never delete emails): "We are pleased to inform you that we do not use animals to test any aspect of our products."

Ban it is...I do not know why all the natural deodorants make me itchy and red. I really loved the HC scent (wild)...I was going to try using it again but then common sense took over....

Well, this is weird. I had heard about Lavanilla, and a lot of people think it works, so it was in the back of my mind to look for. Then, I saw a teeny-tiny box with a pot of Lavilin in the hfs, steeply priced, (which is the other thing I remember reading up on about LaVanilla, ahaha!) so I thought, how many vegan, $20 deodorants can there be? i somehow missed the part that LaVanilla is scented girly, so that is why I thought people that actually were writing about the one I saw, Lavilin, were confusing the name of the product. So, yeah, not the same thing! This one is decidely herbal smelling, which I do like, and it comes in a pot with a spatula, and an instruction manual! Serious bidness. I loooked *this* one up (not LaVanilla) online, and there are some definite testaments that it works, and it has actually been around decades. someone said they apply it once a month, and the box it is pqcked in says it can last a week! I won't complain if i get that out of it. I don't like that there are two vegan deodorqnts, both with kinda cult followings, with such similar names. I wonder why whoever picked the name last, didn't figure that out. I can't be the only one who has gotten confused there, because, what aree the chances?! Anyways, all this to say, I hope I made a happy mistake, I will be trying this as soon as my old Jason one runs out, and also, has anyone else used Lavilin and liked it?

I was using a roll on by Tom's. It was making my pits hurt. I bought a spray on by EO, it stung at first due to the Tom's but now it is not so bad...
I still miss Mitchum. :/

Herban Cowboy has new deodorant scents marketed for women... I bought the "Blossom" scent at my local health food shop today because I sniffed it and it smells inCREDible. Hubby has been using the Dusk scented deo for a few years and it's the only kind other than the crystal that works for him and doesn't irritate his sensitive skin.

I love LaVanilla, but I hate to recommend it because it is spendy. It feels so good on my pits though! I don't know if it works well, but I love the way it feels. (It either works or I've gotten used to my own stank.) Normal wear though; I'm plenty stinky after gym or run.

I bought a $10 travel size to try out...I rather spend $20 up front on something that works rather than $20 on a few things that make my skin freak out.

Sadly it didn't work on me so I gave it away. And I don't live somewhere very warm, so I don't sweat near as much as I did when I lived in the south.

The antiperspirant part of the new Tom's is great! Unfortunately the deodorant component sucks. I end up dry but stinky by the end of the day.
I don't understand why vegan deodorant has to be such a challenge.

I've been liking the Earth Science deodorant. I bought the rosemary mint and so far it's been working pretty well, but I haven't tested it while exercising or during super hot weather.

Gotta say, I am reformed. I bought LaVanilla deodorant on a whim last weekend. It happened to be the weekend of Hurricane Sandy, after which I lost electric and internet, and running water for 5 days. As you can imagine, they smells in the building could have singed your hairs off. I used LaVanilla and despite feeling and being funky, my boyfriend couldn't stop saying I smelled like vanilla and how good it smelled, and I myself didn't have any sour grapes smell anymore. I have had a tough time dealing with my minimal sweating and subsequent B.O., which is totally related to eating alot of processed food/sugar for some reason, but I love this deodorant and it has so far not let me down. In fact, it filled in for showers for a week (not recommended) and still has my smelling like a nice and delicate perfume. I like it alot. It's not powdery, either. Just smells of real vanilla blossoms.
