Which type of dystopia would you prefer to live in?
A post-apocalyptic Mad Max/Omega Man fend for yourself, hiding out, scrounging for food type?
Or
A 1984, everyone wears matching jump suits and has to follow all the rules, no individuality, no freedom, but plenty to eat and comfortable beds type?

I'm really not sure. I *guess* Mad Max, but I don't think I would survive very long.

i always vote for the thunderdome, but part of me wants 1984 so i can wear a sandwich board that says "bowie was right."

I'd choose the Orwellian. I'm more the psychologically outwit than physically outfit type anyhoo.

I prefer Orvillian apocalypses. So, like, airplanes and popcorn, I guess.

How about Hunger games where you are either poor/being taken advantage of or rich/taking advantage of others. Oh wait.

Mad Max would be super fun, or Fallout. Definitely not The Road.

I'm not familiar with Mad Max, but I'm pretty sure I don't want to live in 1984. I could go for a zombie apocalypse, though.

Something tells me they won't be well-maintained ifyouknowwhatimsayin. I'll have an Orspellian apocalypse, where you have to spell every word that comes out of your mouth, as opposed to saying it. So everyone spelling stuff all the time--that is conversation of the future. I've never seen Mad Max, either.

1984 sounds like hell. Especially for the proles. And then isn't there that 5 minutes of hate everyday where everyone stomps their fists and shakes and screams at TV images of their enemies? Mindless, flag-waving fools...seems like a Tea Party meeting.
Been a while since I've seen Mad Max, but that sounds more fun. You try to escape the in 1984, you get locked up. In Mad Max, you can just jack a ride and camp out on the side of the road.

I've never seen Mad Max, but an Orwellian future sounds awful so imma go with that one. plus LazySmurf wrote: As long as there is no shortage of suicide pills

I can't choose because 1984 is pretty frightening, but I don't want to live in any future with Mel Gibson. Just throw me in the Games.

Your picture (ok, not really) And I think growing up, I had cable and one of the cable channels (Sci-Fi?) always seemed to show Mad Max a few times per year. I think I've seen it on cable a few times when I've visited my parents.
